"You can try smelling if it's safe, but I'm not sure if that would help me with getting back to playing the role, I'm sorry. I believe it's safe anow and you won't find anything. It’s only in my head now, you know? The feeling that I'm going to die if I step into that role again..." But the disappointment in Erdel's feelings at not getting to see him in the role made him feel bad, not only for Erdel but for all the disappointed audiences and in no small measure for himsel for missing the glory of his greatest role so far. "I should be doing something about it, I guess. Keeping myself busy is good to avoid thinking about it, but doesn't really help with getting back on stage. I don't know what I should do, though."
