Senecio nodded. "You can go to your room until we return. It may take a little while," he said, and ran upstairs.

[VisAnastasis]

Tide nodded, and went to his room - seeming much unlike someone you could deem King of Demons, and  more like someone you'd deem a good hearted uncle.

Svarik and Melody were still sleeping, as it was very early, still, but Erdel, being a demon, needed not sleep, and was awake. He clearly must had been distressed through the night, as Xia left her usual spot guarding Svarik, and Senecio found him like that - sitting tiredly and grimly in an armchair, with glorious bright furred fluffy animal, despite huge and with limbs sticking out of little space, cuddled around him and lying upon his lap, purring protectively while he absently caressed her.

[Mirach]

Senecio knocked shyly before peeking in, and with a gesture asked Erdel if he can come to the door, not wanting to wake the sleepers.

[VisAnastasis]

Erdel must had heard him coming. He seemed to be thinking if it's worth standing up from Xia's comforting hug or not, but then he sighed, and tiredly lifted huge fluffy animal demon from his lap.He patted her reassuringly, and gestured her on sign language not to worry, before leaving the room to meet up with the actor, his look, unlike last night, seeming to be more grim and distrustful.

[Mirach]

"Tide is going to see the present," Senecio said quietly. "He would like you to be there..."

[VisAnastasis]

" Wow, so *now* you two want me there?" Vampire murmured tiredly, sounding strained, as if he's putting considerable effort not to sound mean or bitter, as the whole episode of last night seemed to have left him exhausted and offended, and quite pained, at least judging by his fallen face that hadsoligns he probably shared fair amount of tears as well." You two.... Honestly need to make up your damn minds once and for all... because all this... oh, now we are fine with you, now we are not....  is.. bloody ridiculous... "

[Mirach]

"We are fine with you..." Senecio said quietly. "It just wasn't that fine between the two of us. A... misunderstanding. He hurt me with something he said, I hurt him with something I did... Neither of us meant it, and we cleared it out," he sighed. I told you yesterday that I will call you if he would like you to be there... and now he would."

[VisAnastasis]

" I can't help it that he picked a bad hour to happen to want my presence, after he sent me of as if I had plague, when it was you that hurt him, not me." Erdel could not help a helpless flicker of anger to color his pained  gaze." I just.... Don't get you. Why you both have to periodically exchange and think other one might develop a crush at me, and be mean to me on such ground? How many times do I have to say to both of you I am not least bit interested? Like...If I had to choose between all people on earth, for goodness sake, you two jealous idiots...  just.... garhhhh... "

[Mirach]

"Because you are so damn kind, and he is one who finds kindness attractive... and you are also handsome, and he thinks that I could fall for you because of that. You were just a perfect match for the other one in our eyes, and we were still unsecure about our relationship, that's still too young..." Senecio murmured. "Sorry for that... 

[VisAnastasis]

Apology seemed to mellow Erdel 's anger a little bit, and he sighed, with nothing but some frustration and deep weariness in his gaze.

" It's been... a long night, dealing with... children." Creature murmured wearily, leaning against the wall tiredly." I was so excited about it last night, but all this foolishness..." he shook his head, as he admitted weakly." It really turned all joy... into ashes for me. It left a bitter taste in my mouth, like . Blood. I mean, I am pretty pissed of right now, so little kindness left there, and I am pretty sure I am not nearly as handsome as Tide's fear made me out to be in his head. You just made me feel like meddler, when my intentions were but honest." He looked away."  I just don't really know what good would a joyless meddling third wheel bring to your little exclusive club, honestly..."

[Mirach]

"I was very excited yesterday too, that's why I felt so hurt then...." Senecio murmured. "I fear it's not that exciting to either of us now, and he is hesitant. It's not really a romantic present anymore, and I hope that your presence would make it at least enjoyable as a friendship present..."

[VisAnastasis]

Erdel took a deep breath.
" Kindness.... is not a personality trait. It's something you have to put effort into every day. It's easy to be rude. I very much desire to be rude to you now, because I am wrathful. I blame him, for overeating in his dramatic downpour... but it's your underacting to his excitement, that pushed him there. You could not find it in yourself to be kind enough to raise above a petty argument and share his joy, and I do blame you for that." Vampire murmured, with a polite, restrained voice. " But if we just sulked and pouted like children, foolishness would never stop." He noted simply, and he breathed in and out deeply again, as if preparing himself mentally. " Fine.... I shall go with you. But more of this jealousy foolishness, and you are both in timeout, understand? "

[Mirach]

"Thank you," Senecio said earnestly. "He really would like you to be there... I know you are angry, but may I ask you one thing while we are alone? I fear I might not have another chance..."

[VisAnastasis]

" If it's to bid me to behave, yes, I wil behave. I will try not to spoil it anymore than it already is, alright? I am quite miserable right now, but I don't derive particular pleasure from being a jerk. " Vampire sighed a bit tiredly." If not that, what do you wish to ask me? Ask... I won't bite, really..."  

[Mirach]

"Does your offer about the pearls still stand?" Senecio asked quietly. "If you could find just one that the current owner is willing to part with, I would be very grateful. It's not for me... I would like to give Tide something meaningful, since this present didn't turn out that well..."

[VisAnastasis]

Erdel raised his eyebrow a bit, but then, he nodded, more seriously, and gracefully, his anger seeming to subside a little, under the weight of meaningful request.
" I could physically find it, as long as I have some good clue for smell I need to trace. " vampire replied, humble before noble quest. " I can find out the location...The rest would be up to you, of course - I mean, being penniless, I can't exactly buy it of myself... But location, I can give you. "

[Mirach]

"That is all I would ask for," Senecio nodded.

[VisAnastasis]

" Alright then, I would just prefer, you know.. above mentioned clue? " vampire asked carefully. " Something pears would smell as close as possible. I could trace them by your body smell alone, too, but it would take me longer and be more straining. Yes, and I'll also need the name of the shop where you sold the pearls, and it's location - that will make my search much more easy, as I'll already have a good starting point, and it's just ten years difference, so smell will be still fresh there. "

[Mirach]

"I will show you the shop, but I fear I can't really think of anything that would leave smell on them. Just sweat, maybe? It was a hot day..."

[VisAnastasis]

" So, you didn't cry? Hmm... Commendable, I guess. I know I would have. " vampire managed to smile faintly, thought it seemed to be more out of compassion, then out of bemusement. " I'll have to ask for the bit of your sweat then - if you can perhaps have a run or something after we finish this present thing, and gather bit of it with handkerchief, that would be suitable. I mean - otherwise, I'd have to bid you to show me your mother's grave, as her scent would have been left upon them, if she wore them often... " he gulped. " Hm, but I would say, I would like to avoid that. It's, um, quite unpleasant for me, smelling around the bones and such. Graveyards... They are very unpleasant for my senses. Too much sorrow, around... "

[Mirach]

"I would prefer to have a run instead, as well," Senecio nodded. 

[VisAnastasis]

" It is a deal, then. " Erdel whispered quietly." Try to do it as soon as you can... I would prefer to try it before Svarik wakes...  I look like a bad bodyguard enough, by leaving him like this... I don't want to be even worse ."

[Mirach]

"I will try if I can, but I promised Tide that I will not neglect him for any present..." Senecio said. "If we have no time now, then maybe after he goes to sleep again."

[VisAnastasis]

" Hm... Yes.. Tonight will be better, perchance. " vampire agreed. " I would prefer to get my head a bit cleared up, as well. By the way - don't forget you still have to give king the cake we made, before that. You made a deal with me yesterday that you'll deliver it yourself to him when he wakes up, and deal's a deal. "

[Mirach]

"I know. I will do that when he wakes," Senecio nodded. "Shall we join Tide, then?"
