If anything was easy to read, it was how much relief this brought to Svarik - and Sage did not hesitate this time. He did not stop the rain, but let it flow and fill the terribly dry fields with its sparkly light. As if feeling he needs to do his best to make up for violation he caused to meadow king, he was determined to give him all he could, and there was gentle tone within the rain that made it feel reassuring and pleasant.

It was a storm, that showed no sign of stopping - upon every bit of his soul, there was its lingering touch, and it soaked the land, reaching as deep as the ground of king's mental barriers, more loose now when he felt relieved, allowed it. When it could not reach further, it started to form a muddy splashy surface above, and level of water started to rise up, specially at lower, more vulnerable parts of the valley where water once flew. King shivered, as it temporarily filled in the cracks where once flew little streams and little lakes, since it touched upon vulnerable spot of what he was lacking right now, but also provided him with it, even if it's effects would be temporary.

And the rain was restless and endless, not showing a sign of stopping. It was so fierce that some pain with it was inevitable, as it was washing out some debree and unhealthy land, and it left the surface raw. The rain did not stop. Slowly, signs of light flooding started to show instead, and the feeling of it was overwhelmingly good - the layer of water upon surface of his dry injured soul felt like a painkilling balm laid upon the raw wounds, not healing, but being a little seed of healing that held a promise of helping him get a little better.

Svarik vaguely remembered the Sage telling him that it's exhausting to him, and he thought he should tell him to stop, but it was hard to keep that or any other thought, and he could not bring himself to do it, basking in the relief of the rain as long as it lasted.

Rain lasted for such long time that Svarik lost sense of time and felt dizzy with it all... Only at one point, when he finally could come to his senses, he could see that the clouds disappeared, and above him, reflecting his relief and pleasure, there were some traces of delightful familiar blue color in previously gray and depressing sky.

Once king found strength to move and could notice more of the environment, he could see The Sage. Man was kneels down in the layer of water and mud, sitting in it with closed eyes, and troubled brow. His hands were locked in meditating pose, but he was trembling slightly, and bright blue color of his form seemed to have all gone, as his skin was not gray with only light distant hint of blue, and his focused hands were trembling. It seemed man has, indeed, given all he could in circumstances, and had now tried to focus himself, to steady his aura that was too erratic after giving away so much of itself at once. It a way, he looked like a man that almost lost too much blood, and it wasn't certain if there were other consequences, but he clearly looked pale and like he may just throw up, and his breathing seemed shallow and straining right now, as he tried to remained conscious.

Svarik stood up unsteadily, staggering a bit after the overwhelming experience. It took him a moment to gather his thoughts. "Are you alright?" he asked then, approaching the Sage. Not trusting his feet yet, he sank into the mud next to him, but the touch of muddy soil felt pleasant.

Sage shuddered a little bit, as his concentration was broken with it, and he struggled to regain it. With effort, he opened his eyes, that appeared rather gray now.
" I am sorry, little one... " with effort, he managed a little smile, not to worry him. " I may have tried to be a little more impressive than it was wise... I am going to need to hold on to the hospitality of your soul for a few more minutes, I fear, until I can leave it. "

Svarik shook his head sadly. "Trying to be impressive? For me or for Falcon? I don't need to be impressed, I would be very thankful for just a little... Thank you... Please stay as long as you want."

" Just a little wouldn't be enough... Not for you. " Sage said gently. He needed a moment to focus his gaze on Svarik properly, before as he recognized his features, he grinned a little. " This should be plenty for several hours. If you can, let it slip deeper through the ground, it would do you good, to loosen up the hardened soil a little bit more naturally. It will be a good practice, too. If not, it's alright if you just let it linger until land drinks it up... It should help. Just couple of drops wouldn't make a difference, and you would just feel the thirst of the land more sharply afterwards. This, on the other hand, might just do the trick... But I digress. I should go soon. I will need some pain medicine for the headache, and something sweet to top it. I just first need to double check, so I need to ask.. "he paused, before asking hesitantly, but his tone demanding an answer. " I did not hurt you this time, did I? "

" That's good to know. For a brief moment there in the end, you wasn't even moving, and I panicked I may have killed you with feels or something. " Sage chuckled a little, despite it seemed to hurt his lungs somewhat. He looked little more relaxed, as if some tension has left his body then. " As you surely noticed, I am not a soul healer, so I lack precision and skill you posses. I only have raw power and harmony within myself on my disposal. I am skilled in silence, not sound, you see. I am not someone to judge... But I felt that it would not be a fair kingdom in my eyes, where person of your powers has to suffer such drought in his own soul. It was very nice.. " he said fondly. " To be able to do this for you, especially after what happened.. before that.  "

" Not unless you have a comb of honey or sugar cake. " Sage commented with some humor, despite he was coughing a bit, as if having a sore throat. " Do not worry for me. Little rest and food will do charms on me. But would you consider trying to help me get to that stony dry ground, little youngling? It's not quite as comfortable to meditate in the mud as is on dry land, I must say, and right now, it's most urgent for me to meditate... My heart needs to slow down a little so my body can keep up with it. "

Even that little kindness was enough for Sage, as he seemed to feel better when not knees deep in Svarik's soul, but on dry surface. He was trembling lightly still, despite his otherwise confident calm demeanor, and he immediately sat down as well as he could, leaned forward and closed his hands and eyes, focusing on himself and meditating, in effort to steady his heartbeat and breathing again, as if he needed to establish some inner balance again.

Svarik did not disturb him and instead sat down in the mud, that unlike the normal mud felt very pleasant and refreshing to him.

Sage meditated undisturbed for a while, until his vital signs grew stable again. He looked at ease again now, although very weary. Only then, he opened his eyes, and graced king with little fond look.
" Well, it's been nice, but it's a long swim back to the city... " he said then gently, with more composed voice already." I see you already made yourself quite comfortable, so I best be going to find some nice bed to make myself comfortable upon it, what are your thoughts on that, little one? "

"It's really a long swim," Svarik murmured. "I will go out with you, and ask Xia to fly you back and then return. "

" No, you will stay here, without disturbances. Don't worry. I have friends, remember? I will call and catch some ride along the way. " Sage shook his head, and unexpectedly, he grimaced sourly. " Or worse.. Hmm... My demon friend will probably be out already, searching for me. I am quite certain of that by now. I expect I'll receive quite a decent scold... I was supposed to meet with him this afternoon, you see, to discuss some things, but life happened, as it often does. I will really have to leave you now, so I can think of a decent apology on the way back, alone. " he empathized the last word, as if to say he won't argue about this, as he slowly stood up and carefully cleaned himself from the mud.

" I most certainly will not tell him such a thing. That would be super rude lie, besides, you didn't make me do anything. I did all I did for I wanted to do it. " man smiled a little, despite tired, seeming in little better mood when all was already done, with prospect of soon rest. " I shall go now, but do you perhaps have any parting questions before I leave? Or requests for what I should tell your friends? "

" Don't worry, I'll just look tired when I go out. This form is reflection of my soul, so hopefully, I won't worry them too much... but I'll explain them everything, I promise. " The Sage acknowledged kindly. " Now - I must go. Just remember to be gentle with yourself, and whatever you do, don't overdo it if you feel it's hurting you. Whenever you are in temptation to do it, just remember: * don't do unto yourself what you wouldn't do unto others.* "

"I will try that," Svarik promised. "I don't have much experience with silence, so I'm not that sure what I would or wouldn't do for others, but if you say that it shouldn't hurt, I will stick to that."

" I know silence is outside of your comfort zone, as Gifted, so I hope something new may help push you in the right direction. We will see how it goes." Sage acknowledged. " Alright then, good luck, little one, see you in the morning. " he greeted him with a subtle nod, and then, he disappeared from his sight, leaving this plane of existence in the Heart of the Sea.

Svarik remained alone in the refreshed land. He did not feel like stirring the water deep below yet so soon after the intrusige touch on it, but he knew he has time yet. He instead continued in what he was doing before - gathering the fertile soil that was much easier now when it wasn't dry. He also started filling the hole he dug.

That wound was fresh, as he had caused it to himself in attempt to reach the water below. He felt he was getting a hand of this slowly, though, as pleasant feeling of that hole being slowly filled was satisfying and nice. When it was even ground again, it was still a bit sore, as it was freshly covered, but with no gap longer there, king could feel it would heal now nicely, having received proper care. It was also great help to him that his hands were bandaged so well, as it seemed protective essence lingering within the cloth was protecting him from debris and mud, so his hands could heal in meantime without catching infection or getting hurt further.
