It took a lot of time before Svarik was able to do anything or even move under the waves of emotions washing over his soul. He was tempted to just remain lying there, but the part of himself that was a healer saw how much he needs the song with the state that his souls was in, and gathering all his will and resolve, he got up and reached for the flute again, dreading the song that would open all festering wounds, but longing for it in tge same time. Again he started easily, with a soothing melody, but gradually he put more and more power into his song, drawing strength from the refreshing rain. |

As water from rain has permeated and had a strong presence through every single layer of the soil, it kept lingering with soothing cold freshness throughout king's whole essence, keeping his barriers soft and maintaining the ease of access of music to those deepest hurts. It's not to say it was easy to deal with it, though - his whole soul felt raw and tender at any touch, as it had passed through a lot, and longer it was forced to be exposed and unveiled, it needed more reassurance and warmth for that state to feel okay.
King could feel how his waters below grew restless with healing song. They were leaning into its nourishing touches, but they were still lingering with fear at every tone of a flute - it was such strange sensation, to both enjoy and dread something so fearfully. There were no barriers pressing waters down anymore, and Svarik felt the burning desire to let go of fear, to let the springs come out and rivers flow up... But a dark spot in his mind, festering wound yet uncleaned that has spread deep to the very core of who he was, still couldn't quite let go, as after all that happened, it felt too ashamed and unclean to be touched by pure light and warmth of the sun on the surface, where it felt no protection from filth of the world and cruel people in it... It was ever persistent fear that trembled within his soul, injured and in agony, tense at every caress of flute's powerful music at places that hurt the most. |

Svarik weaved his song around it for a while, not touching it yet, as if trying to gain its trust first. It was indeed like setting a bone, and he knew there will be pain with it, but it needs to be done for healing to be possible. But doing it himself required a lot of resolve and he tried to gather that while playing. Only when he felt that he can't delay it any longer, he reached deep inside that festering place with a powerful piercing tone, like cutting open an inflamed wound to drain the pus from it. |

It felt like a piercing blaze of a thunder that run straight through him - for a moment, he could not perceive anything, but the blinding pain, overwhelming every inch of his being. His mind was colored with flashbacks of humiliation and the imprint of crypt that broke lose in their full terror, and he was forced to face them. His soul twisted under the images it brought, and was whirling in panic and fear. An overwhelming realization seemed to strike it - at the crypt, king was forced to be buried alive, but here, he had buried his true self from fear of pain by his own will. He was in a dark place with no grace of sunlight at his own volition, and that knowledge has burned itself through his whole essence.
Once left at mercy of traumatic dark memories of suffering alone in darkness of the crypt, sipping like puss from its inflamed wounds into his conscious and subconscious mind, need for light suddenly became terribly strong, so much that no pain could compare to pain of being deprived of it. Svarik could remember more strongly than ever before, the moment of triumph and joy, never so clear in his mind as now, when Conrad came for him in the crypt to safe him, took him in his arms, and took him out of that horrible place, into the light of day... And that memory seemed to trigger some strong fierce reaction in him. Suddenly, king felt dizzy and like throwing up, overcome with disgust and shame that wanted to be washed out from the dept of his soul... Svarik could feel the sudden painful pressure as the waters deep below started pushing up and leaning up against the barriers of his mind, forcing their way up by touching their way through the darkness of the ground. They were in desperate search for path upwards, into the light, where there were no violating cruel hands, memories of torture, of staining memories of darkness of the crypt... |

Svarik had to stop playing and just focus to breathe through it for a while, but he knew he can't stop the song now, however overwhelmed and shaken he felt. He was trembling with every tone in a mix of agony and relief as the light started to touch the hurts long impdisoned in darkness, and it felt like dissinfection on the wound, terribly hurting, but good for cleaning it so it can heal. |

As he played for it, more and more urgent was his soul's need for illumination. He could feel the waters, firmly digging its way from the debts below, to surface above, encouraged and urged even more so, by each tone he found strength to play out. Soft ground on water's way was moving with ease from its path, and there was a tense moment of terrible anticipation and silence, as it was gathering its last resolves and last remnants of fear were burning away in desire for light...
And then, there was a sudden explosion of colors and sounds, as at a place in the valley where once flew a biggest river, water burst through the ground again, and sun touched it, reflecting upon it brightly as it started to fiercely flow again... In that one perfect moment, water, sun, and soil, in one split second, mixed in perfect harmony within him, and became one - and through the terrible agony, a fierce shiver of relief and pleasure run throughout Svarik's soul, blinding and purifying. He felt sore and tender under it, and vulnerability he was in brought tears to his eyes, but the pain seemed to lessen, as suddenly he was aware of many bits of himself starting to fit together in better harmony - and it felt strange, as if someone had put some missing gear into a clock in the center of his soul, and, although clumsily and with difficulty, something clicked within the rusted mechanism and the clock had suddenly started working again... |

Svarik let the flute fall from his trembling hand, having no more strength or will to play it. He knew that the song is not over yet, but now that he was free from the barrieres again, he could play it later, or even somene else could do it for him. He curled on the ground where the water flew again in streams, weak with relief and exhausted beyond measure by both playing the song and listening to it. He remained so for about an hour, feeling peaceful and in tune with himself again after a very long and difficult time. Only after that time, he found some strength to find the hair from Tide and the Sage. He swallowed both, too tired to try to discern which is which. |

He was alone for one lingering moment. At last, a presence announced itself. It was Sage this time, steeping carefully towards him, not seeming surprised by the flute lying on ground; demon probably admitted his wrong doing already, not able to keep himself from it. Sage looked as if hangover, with a headache, and a little less glowing that yesterday, but he appeared in better health than king had parted with him yesterday. Hesitantly, he came closer to him, observing his features intently to see how king feels and if it's alright to approach him.

Svarik opened his eyes tiredly when he heard the Sage approach. He smiled faintly. "Can we return to your house?" he asked. |

" Only if you're ready, little Nightingale... My house is your house... " Sage replied with the ancient proverb gently. He did not force contact upon Svarik, knowing it's important that he sets his own pace - he just offered him a hand at first, not touching him without his explicit permission.

Svarik slowly touched the Sage's hand, and when no unpleasant sensation or memory awoke with that, he pressed it weakly. "I don't need the whole house," he murmured."Just the bed..."

" And a nourishing meal and a bath before it. You look awfully in need of one... " man noted gently, and he first took king's flute and put it at his belt, so they could take it out. Then he took Svarik under the arm so he could lean on him, and slowly and patiently helped him leave the renewed land of his soul, and step out of Heart of the Sea.

Svarik was leaning on him heavily, as he would fall without the support. But for the first time in months, he was lookong forward to a good rest with his soul being free. 2017-03-27 11:05 GMT+02:00 VisAnastasis [via Cherrizon 2] <[hidden email]>: " And a nourishing meal and a bath before it. When he left the Heart, very first thing he saw were his friends. Xia squealed, but she gathered all her resolve and kept herself from reaching for him, seeing he does not look well, seeming worried. Vampire looked relieved, thought - he probably worried greatly, and was finaly eased seeing king is iin one piece and that he was not hurt. Svarik could swear he could see tears in vvampire's eyes when he felt Svarik's presence, that creature shyly and quickly dried with its sleeve, so king wouldn't notice them.

Svarik smiled at them weakly. "I'm fine... just very tired..." He extended his hand to Xia to reassure her with a caress. |

Animal leaned into his touch, and licked his hand gently - she seemed hesitant, feeling leftovers of pain lingering in his soul, as that seemed to remind her on how vulnerable she felt in past with sufferings of her own, and she tried to figure out how to be gentle with him and not scare him or hurt his feelings. Vampire seemed worried to do something wrong to cause him pain too, but his heart seemed to weep when he sow how weak and frail king looked.
" May.. I? " critter bid quietly, and reached with his hand toward Svarik, seeing Sage was helping king walk, but also that Svarik looks too weak to walk on his own for long. " It depends. " Sage replied, and he glanced at king, patiently observing him for what would be better for him. " Should your friend help carry you, or do you feel strong enough to ride, little Nightingale? I fear I have a bit of a headache, and would not be able to exactly control out air bubble as easily if I'd have to watch you where you step all the time... " |

"We can ride together," Svarik suggested, as they flew that way on the way here, and walking back would take a long time. |

" We have to pass through couple lose places in the fabric, portals if you will, like we did on the way back, so we have to fly through the sea for a while, until we reach underwater ruins. " Sage commented. " Then we can go out at a surface and fly the rest of the way through the air, if you'd like.. Sky is clear tonight, and we can watch the stars on the way back... "
He explained, while Erdel and him carefully helped Svarik climb up on the soft furry back of the demon fox. |

Svarik embraced Xia's neck and leaned his head on her fur, trusting that she won't let him fall even if he falls asleep |

Erdel agreed to run by foot and follow them around and watch to make sure they don't fall in relative darkness of ocean, as night started outside now. After bidding Xia for permission, Sage climbed behind Svarik, making sure to hold him from behind to make sure he doesn't fall down. With that, after they prepared, they left the lingering gentle aura of the Sea Heart, and flew out in direction of the coastal city.

Svarik dozed off a few times during the way, but when he was awake he just watched the sea and then the sky, feeling peaceful on Xia's back. |

When they reached the mansion, Sage went to order a servant to bring a meal for meadow king and Xia, and Erdel made sure to support Svarik from a side so he wouldn't fall from fox's' back, while they climbed up the stairs to their room.

Svarik let Erdel help him change his clothes for some dry and comfortable ones while they waited for the meal. |

Seeing Svarik is to tired to take a bath now, vampire didn't suggest it, but he made a mental note to remind him on that in the morning when he is stronger. For now, he just shyly did what he felt was best for king now, helping him wherever he could, but trying to stay his hands not to do anything to offend him. After king was dressed in something more appropriate, he innocently and nonchalantly took the sleepy royal in his arms, and carried him up to the soft bed, and after Xia jumped up in place of a pillow, he laid Svarik on it, and covered him up with warp blanket attentively. He seemed fully immersed in it, though, now that he didn't have to be vigilant and wary of their surroundings, his hands seemed to be trembling slightly, stress of worrying about meadow king finally catching up to him, as well as relief of being able to get him safe and warm and having him in his eyesight, where he could keep an eye on him and protect him.

"Erdel, could you do something for me?" Svarik asked him after he lied down comfortably. "Please go to the roof and throw this hair into the wind," he said, giving Erdel the hair that Melody gave him. |
