"I'm not that sure I would mind, actually, and that scares me a bit..." Svarik murmured. "It was a bit more complicated, involving some other pardons I wanted to grant, that would look like having a double measure for myself and others otherwise... I still don't know how I feel about it. I guess I would need to be enlightened to find out..."

" It doesn't have much to do with enlightenment there, I think. Tide is just very, um, simple in some things. " man bemused little sadly. " If you hurt his friends, then you're evil. It doesn't matter what things you do as his friend, he'll always justify that... But whenever someone touches his friends, the gloves come of, and he becomes a beast thirsty for blood. It is something quite inconvenient about demons... They care deeply about the world, yes, and have really deep affection for it... But no affection can rival one for their family, friends, and mates. Whole world could burn, and it would be acceptable sacrifice, if their friends were safe. " he shook his head. " It is build within them. One more reason why everyone deems them so terrifying and unpredictable, so dangerous. In my opinion, your Falcon is a lot closer to a demon than spirit, if I've ever seen one human of such nature. I appreciate that. He has always been very extreme when it comes to his loved ones. I heard stories, about people being skinned alive, and wrapped in their own skin, to be thrown in a garbage. I admit, I would not exactly come up with that method myself, nor most of the enemies I know of. It takes a special kind of edge, and Falcon is quite an edge lord. It's his shtick. "

"Yes, he does seem more like a demon in that regard," Svarik nodded. "It seems a bit hypocrytical, doesn't it, to care for the souls of food you eat, while he does such things in your name... But when he does it, I just can't judge him for it becasue he is my friend and that is above everything else. I guess that's a bit of demonic thinking as well?"

(OOC: The money from Aleksander arrived, and your tablet is in customs office. It seems we will have to pay the customs, which could make up to 1/3 of the price...)

" You humans are in lot neutral. You are so adaptable... " Hans said admiringly. " You posses such strong sense of your own morality, but as well, your mind bounces of such dilemmas so easily when you're uncomfortable with them, and moves on... You could say you are always walking that thin line, between a devil and an angel, between a demon and spirit. You can bind with both, and are compatible with both... You are just so special as species, so spiteful, so fierce in your intent to survive, that you spit in face of life itself. You gave a middle finger to evolution, and decided to become predators instead of pray, to pick up random sharp stones from ground and fight back, rather than scream in terror of death. You adapt, you strive to live, you fight back. I have always loved you for that. You are like perfect blend of two worlds. Well, most of you. " shade of pain shortly passed across his face, but he did not elaborate.

( OOC: Wow, that is quite high o.O
It's a bit unexpected that it's like that, I think in Montenegro we would only pay, like 30 or 50 euros or something for bigger shipment. I will pay, of course - please, tell me how much customs costed exactly, and I will send money right away like last time, of course. I'm really relieved I put some money aside just in case, as if I knew there'll always be something :( I will pay as soon as you tell me how much was it, no problem, I am sorry for causing more stress for you, I didn't know it's going to be so pricey, hope it's not inconvenience... "Maybe it's not about being human. Maybe it's just about knowing Falcon. Right, Melody?" Svarik smiled a little.

(OOC: I don't know yet how much it will be, the shipping company is handling the customs and I will pay it directly to them when they deliver it to me. It seems that for shipments with cost over 150€ you have to pay both tax (20%) and customs (3-11%). Sorry I didn't warn you, I've never ordered something over 150€ before... Maybe Aleksander will want to reconsider? It may be better to buy one here without the shipping and customs, but I don't know if they have what you desire. What do you think about this one? https://www.alza.sk/wacom-cintiq-13hd-interactive-pen-display-d476197.htm?catid=18843074 )

" Well, my Birdie is certainly not just some little demon... He's the Devil, mind you. " girl grinned a little, but that grin was both sleepy and faint - she was, sitting beside Svarik, subconsciously gripping him for side of his tunic, as she probably wished to joke, but felt nervous and frightened for him, learning of the new threat and not sure how to protect him.

( OOC: Don't worry, dear, even if you told me about customs, when it all is weighted out, I'd still chose this one. This is something to last for few years at least, and when you're planning to draw whole day, it is more pricey, but it's better to have larger screen and not only 13 inch one, specially when you have bad eyesight, taking care of your health best you can is important :) I talked with Alexander, and, like me, he agreed too that it's best to pay more for better screen, than to take something small here - 13 inch compared to 21.5 inch, it's almost double the size, and it really matters, not only for eyes, but for your wrist and shoulder. When his shipment counts, don't worry, he'll pay up to right away, like me <3
How long do you think it will pass till from customs shipment comes to us? Usually, in Montenegro, it's few days, but it's smaller country, so I am not sure. Price increase is a bit of a downer, but I am still pretty excited about it :D

Svarik nodded, and took a piece of the pie. "Bringing one to Tide and Xia wouldn't be a good idea now, I suppose?" he murmured.

(OOC: They said it will take 5-10 days. Is size the only downside for that one? I'm considering buying it instead, I do not draw that often...)

" Not now. Give Tide space to work, please. " Sage commented gently, with affection to his friend as well. " He is slow, but when he's passionate and inspired about something, he pours his heart into it... He would appreciate space to talk with Xia more than the food right now. This is so lovely pie, though, we can't keep it all for ourselves - it you agree, I'd love us to leave them couple of slices, at least, it's way too big for the four of us alone. "

( OOC: I think bigger one is more enjoyable to draw, but if we didn't find this Huion tablet with really cheap prize to size ratio, then Wacom 13 inch here would be one of best bets.
I personally prefer and wanted to pick this one, before Huion came around:
https://www.alza.sk/wacom-cintiq-pre-13-d4655004.htm
It is a little upgraded version of one you sent me, plus, it has touch option that is really useful.
Choice should be yours, of course - maybe watching tutorials on you tube would help you understand if you'd be more comfortable with it. Some people just compare small sizes, and for the intuos tablet you bought me, size was never really a problem, and I liked it more small and focused - but you need to consider that this is basically drawing on screen, so you need to imagine drawing on 13 inch screen. That is generally quite small, I would chose it if I had no better option, something is better than nothing,  and 13 inch is generally recommended for beginners who don't have to put too much detail into their work, and generally 22 or 27 inch are recommended for full time artists and designers. It's all about your level of comfort, and what you'd find more enjoyable. Both those tablets need to be plugged in a laptop to work, so neither of them is portable, so generally for me, going with bigger one was better.
If you know to find it second hand somewhere, very popular option is Cintiq Companion 2, because it is portable and doesn't have to be connected to laptop or anything, but that one is more pricey too, generally goes for around 2000, but you can find some for less like:
https://www.alza.sk/wacom-cintiq-companion-2-128gb-d4402491.htm?o=3

You also have cintiq pro 16 inch, that is bit bigger than 13 inch one and therefore more comfortable to work with, but wacom always has high price jumps so it's more pricey as well:
https://www.alza.sk/wacom-cintiq-pre-16-d4831895.htm?o=6
I spent way too much time browsing through them all... XD If I had money, I'd definitely buy either Cintiq Companion 2 or Cintiq 22HD, but Huion so far seemed like my best option, though your best option could be something completely different, every tablet is a good one if you use it to its full potential and if you're happy with it :))

" Whether she decides to eat it or not, best you can do is accept her decision and support her in it. Not by stopping eating or such, mind you. " Hans added his two cents calmly. " Just general support stuff... Loving her, respecting her choice, not making it harder for her, showing her it's alright to do as she chooses and make her own path. Would you mind if me and Sage left you now, please? We have quite a bit to do tonight, if you get what I mean... "

(OOC: Of course, dear, it's a big investment, and it's important to take your time with it, I did a month of research through all kinds of tablets till I decided too <3
One more thing I forgot to add - if you hate dealing with cables, like me, that 13 inch can be a bit bothersome, that is, like, it's biggest disadvantage - if you'll need an adapter, cables are long, bulky, and are on one side of the tablet, sticking out, and Huion one really pleased me as it's cables are at the back of tablet. 13 inch one has generally some better specifications, but tutorials I watches generally don't mark the difference of it as deal breaker, considering price and size of Huion is much cheaper compared to anything of Wacom of same size. So, only take time to decide carefully what you feel is right for you, and it should be alright, only make sure to watch lot of videos for comparisons and understanding stats better, and take everything in consideration so you'd end up most satisfied ;)

"Yes, it's because f me, after all. I won't delay you," Svarik said. Only after they left, and they had more privacy, he took another one of those pears. "Would you please tell me if I'm doing it right?" he asked Melody.

(OOC: Me buying a tablet feel like Svarik buying a harp, lol. I would love to have it, but I don't think I have the skill or time to practice to become really good with it... So I would rather opt for a cheaper one, I think)

" Of course, dearest.. " girl told him gently, glad that she can help, and help she did, resting by his side and giving him advises on everything he was doing right or wrong, so he can progress from work more intuitive to conscious effort.

(OOC: For me, it's like Conrad buying a sword... It has to be something that fits me and works best for me, because I'm going to be using it all the time... But in same time, my budget is more like Svarik's, and I could never justify buying something too expensive for me even if I had that much money. So it's only like buying a sword for Conrad, but with, like, Svarik's budget, hehe :D
I really do think you'd be good at it and could improve a lot - your skills are really not bad, dear, and you currently have better working habit than me too, I'd say, I'm, like, totally exhausted from all assignments in last two years, so I in many things function mechanically... I don't know about time, but you certainly have potential to improve a lot, it's not something that happens to any of us overnight ( I often get depressed feeling I'm not improving enough, too )... I'm sure you'll get to the level when you'll be comfortable with your work, even if you may not be right now, we're still young and have plenty of time for improving, no matter the size of the table you pick, if cheaper one feels right, you should go for it, as long as you are content with it - you can't do much art if you feel miserable or guilty about buying it, so maybe cheaper version would indeed be better for you, I only was comfortable to go with more pricey one because I look at it as investment for future work, not really as only a treat to myself <3

" I am a little too nervous now, to be honest... But I guess we'll probably.. be alright.. "
" Do not be nervous. " Erdel voiced himself quietly and shyly, though he seemed little shaken with possibility of supernatural threat as well. " You can sleep freely. I will keep a watch. It won't be like last time, when you were alone in the room at palace. I will be here this time. "

( OOC: You should not pressure yourself, you know - just because I'm getting one, doesn't mean you should hurry and get one too right away, if you don't feel like it yet. I really think, if they can afford it, that every artist should try to get some tablet at least, because it genuinely seems more engaging and fun to me, but again, that's just me, and it's okay to have your own opinion, some years, you do 2 drawings, some year 10, some year none, it's not like you have to do just right amount to be considered an artist. You have amazing ideas, and great ideas can sometimes be better than just having decent skill... I am currently feeling a little stagnant and miserable about my art myself, as I feel like I've been drawing the same thing over and over for last couple years, and am trying my best to brake out of it. We all have different barriers to push, and we all do things differently, some more traditionally, some more digitally, it's important to find what you like and stick with it, whatever it is :)))

Melody was too tense to say anything for some reason, but with first faint sound, he stood up, cautious with unexpected visitor.
He did not answers for a moment, though, remember in how in stories you usually need to invite evil in before it can come... not quite likely to be true, but why risk?
" It depends. It is quite late. We did not expect someone. May I ask who sent you?" He asked carefully, trying his best to put more casual non threatening note to his tone.

" Really? " vampire said slowly, as if he spoke with interest. He ain't gonna let Svarik drink that first, though. " Let me try out. " he said, despite his desire not to drink or eat. He took random cup, and he brought it to his lips, but instead of tasting it, he smelled it intently, as if enjoying it, while it fact, trying to scent anything ill within the aura of drink - drink that he knew already, because Conrad had cocoa in his kitchen, and he knew how ti was supposed to feel.

It really was cocoa, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with the drink in beautiful porcelain cups. "I took the liberty to bring one for myself as well," the man smiled at Erdel, and took a cup. "Smells good, doesn't it?" he asked and sipped from it with delight. By the way he was holding the cup, it seemed he was left-handed.

You are so very thoughtful. Let us meet like man, and let me shake your hand now, that you are no longer busy holding the tray. " vampire said with same amiability man spoke him with. Vampire took his cup again. He should be immune to poisons, he thought. Even if this is something strong enough to do something to a demon, how to avoid being impolite, but not have Svarik or Melody drink it in same time? He gulped, and he took his cup to his lips, and drank it in one gulp decisively, focusing on the taste and smell of it.

The first gulp tasted a little strange, but the next one was already the regular, sweet taste of cocoa, and nothing seemed to happen to him. "Please, take one, it's really good," the man bid Svarik and Melody, sipping from his own cup. Svarik looked at Erdel a bit uncertainly, knowing that the vampire suspects something, otherwise he wouldn't drink.
