" It was a little scary... He was meddling with something important with my soul, straightening out some... creases.. something.. it hurt a little... but... it still felt very nice. " creature shivered a little, as if still little vulnerable at the intimate memory. " It... Feels very safe, when he does it. At one point, I just lost... sense of.. myself. There was nothing but peace, no memories, nothing... Like is some strange time in a womb, before you are yet born... " he sighed wistfully. " It was... so very nice... He really... is... something else... Like White and Death... " he frown a little sadly at memory of those two. " But without all that demon -spirit hate thing... "

"He really is very special," Svarik nodded. "I'm glad we came into this house." |

" I am glad I led you here too, for all of us. It's so nice to have friends outside of capital, to do things with. Falcon said, like, do it subtly... Don't let him suspect you're forcing him in.. that direction.... But I am.. Awful... Not subtle... " vampire smiled a little, with now more focused eyes glancing at king, and maybe as if trying some luck, with lingering effect of potion, not able to keep himself from lightly holding onto king's sleeve, as if for comfort. " Falcon is always, like - let it flow naturally, make it seem like happy coincidence, stuff.. I am more, like, hey, you know... let's go straight line to this place... with no secret intention behind it.... whatsoever... " critter chuckled, seeming little bemused and embarrassed both.

"Why not?" Svarik asked. "I don't see anything wrong about that..." |

" Because he wanted you to get better. In hindsight, from what I know of Tide now... And Sage... I'd say Falcon probably felt... They may help you better now, than time. I thought of it. He must had insisted you take day more and more just to make sure you have more chances to come here and stay. It must had been that. " Vampire explained, just a little miserably. " But if he told you straightly - just go to this and that city to my friends, you would feel like forced on a... healing session... not on fun vacation.. You'd be all tense in anticipation of meeting them, even if you went. That's why, he said... I need to not tell you he wishes us to go this way... So it would come around naturally to Svarik... to you... when you meet Tide and Sage... I should had been subtle. " critter sighed, with petulance of child that is sad to see water destroy its sand castle. " Do you think... Falcon will be displeased? " he whispered, despite his mind more clear, his thoughts seeming to be more wondering. " He was displeased enough, when... I had to go back shortly... to tell him about Waffle, from Cernunnos.... It was just so nice here... It feels like a burden, having to return there again, always stressful... It was so nice here, without... without any high... expectations... "

"Don't worry about it coming naturally. It did, because I didn't know anything about where we are going. So I think you did well according to Conrad's expectations. And I'm alraedy missing him and Lipka, and Irden and the rest of the folk there. It won't be as careless as here, but I'm actually glad that we will return there soon." |
|
" So... I did.. well? " critter asked shyly, looking at king, despite more sober, still with some unconcealed traces of deep admiration and love, as Svarik grew to become someone in whom and whose opinion he trusted. " I am sorry... I guess I am a little too worried about my performance, because.... Because I desired you to get better deeply as well. " he whispered. " I was ever vigilant.... Every night.... White Eagle had warned us there may be nightmares, when you drift outside of his influence... and I specialy feared.... with all this thing with Senecio... That you may grow to feel more unsafe and worse anew.... " he gulped. " But I watched over, all the time... If there were any nightmares, I did not feel them... That's why I dare... to hope... That maybe.... maybe I didn't do that...bad... "

"No, you did well," Svarik said gently. "I felt safe with you and Xia, even after that incident here." |

Vampire nodded, seeming little reassured again. He was still weak, but in sort of a pleasant, relaxing way, it more seeming his body seems to refuse to cooperate since his soul was so relaxed.
" I am glad. " he said, and then grinned a bit. " Can't say I am pinnacle of great bodygarding right now, so I am very thankful for Xia, too... Specially in current my state. I brought this silly mushiness upon myself, I shouldn't have let Tide put me up to it.... It's really a relief, to know that even if something would happen to me, there's still second line of defense... to get to you... my dearest king.... " |
|

"You deserve to relax a bit as well," Svarik said. "How do you feel now? Tide said he can be a guide to us today, but we didn't specify when we will be leaving. We could go now, or wait afer lunch, there's no rush." |
|

" Well, alas, with all things going and feeling great for me since I became demon, I do have one drawback - like, complete lack of any hunger whatsoever. " lad shrugged a little, but by his relieved expression, it was apparent it was not a drawback at all for him, after horrors of vampirish hunger. " If you're hungry, I'd like us to wait till lunch, so you can all eat. Ad for me... I feel... Wonderful.... But not so strong on my feet. Everything is so colorful. For a moment there, I felt as if I aligned in harmony with the universe, before the feeling eluded me.... I feel.. that this is a right way to feel. " he took a deep, contented breath, before adding shyly. " It's not really right way to walk quite yet, I fear... If Xia would, perhaps, be kind enough to let me ride upon her today till I sober up bit more, then I could call now, too. I feel more present already in mind... It's only the body, that's not listening... Lazy insolent one, it is. " he grinned a bit jokily.

"Let us all be lazy then, and just relax for a while longer," Svarik said. "Who knows when we will be able to do that again after we return home..." |

" Knowing Birdie, never. " Melody chuckled lightly, embracing them both with support.
" Knowing Falcon, as likely answer is all the time. You just never know with him. " Erdel retorted, grinning innocently, playful and quick on words when in this mood. " He'll probably insist to do everything himself, so... Or I can just as likely see us braking under weight of terribly hard work, and him brushing it all of and taking it for himself, as if it's just a bad Monday. " |
|
Administrator
|
Svarik chuckled. " He would be able to do that, wouldn't he? I hipe it won't be eother of that, but something between..." |
|
Administrator
|
" Alas, from all I know of him so far... I think you'd have to fight for your right to rule from now on, sire! " Erdel teased wholeheartedly and dramatically, chuckling freely. " Once Falcon gets a hand of it, from how obsessive he tends to be about always being right... You'll be probably left with tiny pretenses of tasks, like a kid whom parent lets help farm work by carrying baskets of food to workers. You gotta be more vigilant and take more initiative, if you don't want him to put you on parental lock, ha! "

"Then I'm going to pester him with infinite "why" questions like a kid," Svarik smirked.

" Small price to pay, answering infinite *why's*, to rule a kingdom in return. I am sure everyone would be so super grieved with that exchange if they were on Falcon's place. " vampire teased mercilessly, but then added little more softly. " Seriously, though... It's fine to be on top and all... But I am all in for infinite questions. Kids need to learn how stuff works. " he smiled little thoughtfully. " I am sure he'd be happy, to see you trying to engage. Maybe it'd be only way, to convince him he can trust you to do this properly, and loosen up a bit with whole *I must do everything to make sure it's done right *deal of his. I mean, yeah, I agree he's very good with making decisions and all, but nobody can go on without brake forever, and he literally has forever before himself now..."

"I certainly do not plan to sit with crossed hands while he does all the work, but I'm also willing to learn from him... I hope we will figure it out somehow," Svarik nodded, agreeing with Erdel.

" It will all be right, my Sunshine. " Melody interrupted the more seriously directioned talk gently. " There is little reason to worry now - for now, it is time to be lazy, and time to be merry! " she proclaimed playfully. " Who's up for something lazy and fun? Some board game, maybe? Some tale? Or would you love for me to play you some fun songs, my adorable cutie pies? "
|
|
Administrator
|
"If we are going to be lazy, then you should be too," Svarik chuckled. "Let's play some board game."
|
|

Everyone agreed, and Melody, light on her feet like a summer breeze, went down, and borrowed lot of fun board games from Hans, and when they chose which they liked the best, they played them and had fun, passing the time in such close friendly atmosphere.

They played the games for some time. Only when Svarik saw that Erdel was more at his senses, he asked if they would like to go now. |

Melody as well, only agreed when she sow Erdel, however jollier and relaxed than usual, looked more able to walk and fend for himself anew. Xia agreed with thrill, wagging her tail, happy to go on new adventure, and Jake was mostly surrounded by his usual vein of quietness and contemplation, but even he seemed a little brighter, in prospect of sharing one last day with them.
" I'd love to go somewhere nice too. " Erdel agreed shyly with eyes locked on him. " As soon as you have something to eat too. I wouldn't want to drag you along a trip hungry. Maybe some dessert would be in order as well before we go? " he bid innocently, and little shyly he glanced at the cake Senecio brought to king, as he noticed it a while ago, and must had been curious how king felt about it and if he liked it. |
|

"Oh, right," Svarik chuckled. "I wanted to wait for you with sharing it. It's really adorable. It's almost time for lunch anyways, so let's eat first, and then have the dessert." |

Erdel smiled broadly, as it seemed to mean much to him that king liked it, as, while not buying anything himself, he did help out with it a lot. " Should I call Tide to join us as well in the meal, sire? I am sure he'd love to have a bit of slice of the cake, and there's enough for everyone. "
