"It's fine," Svarik nodded. "You can do it through me."

Being nodded lightly. Since they finished with their tea, he left the cup aside, and extended his hand to Svarik, waiting for him to accept it. It was the first time they touched, and he was graceful and gentle with it, holding his hand lightly. His presence was soft and tender, and there was some of Conrad's care reflected through it, as he focused on the work. He needed but a minute, before he proclaimed that he was done, and slowly let go.

"So we have five hours, yes?" Svarik asked. "Now, where to begin? Maybe the pendants, since the clothes can be a later present?"

"It is better to take care of the first gift, yes, so we have less pressure to act quickly." Being avreed. " We can find human craftsmen, if you like... But I have to tell you about general standard for giving gifts to immortals. If it's something little, human things are okay, but if it is important gift, immortals tend to grieve more, if they keep it for only few centuries or millennia. Keepsakes should be made to last very long time. Would you prefer we find a Being craftsmen? Onlh ones nearby that can work quickly and make long lasting wotks are Janus, whoisat a theathre, and one of the Being craftsmen whom l mentioned before - one of them specializes in hewelry. What do you think?"

"Janus makes more functional things, I think, but I don't doubt he would be able to make something like that easily. I already know him, so maybe I'd ask him first and see of he would like to do it or would rather recommend the other craftsman."

" Sounds good. So, we are going to the theathe, yes? It is a little cloudy today, so you should dress well. As for me, give me but a moment - my form with wings is too easily detected, I can only wear it indoors." Being bowed its head lightly, and his form weavered for a message moment, until he appeared again in the same form as yesterday, that form's aura feeling noticeably more concealed, indeed much more fit for an outing.

" Of course. We need to ask for two guards too - there is no way your sir Conrad would forgive me if I didn't bring some protection for you, just in case. " Being agreed gracefully, and after both of them were ready, they made arrangments to borrow the carriage and two people to escort them from the distance, and they went to the theatre, to find Janus.

"Of course, I promised Conrad I'll stay safe, he wouldn't go to sleep otherwise," Svarik said, and indeed took all safety measures as they went to the theatre. "Do you want to go with me to meet Janus or would you rather wait?" he asked Eros.

" I'll be honest with you - Janus would be the absolute best for this job, and he likes you, so he may come up with some method uncommon for him to make a deal for the lockets with you... But I'd rather try to make a deal with the nails, since he's more anxious about saving his food since he accepted working here, and fears the growing hunger, " Being replied shyly. " You see, I rather like him, and in past when he had bad months regarding food, I'd often pretend I really need something to make a deal, but then he caught on eventually. He is rather proud and doesn't want charity, so he is rather suspicious these days when I try to make deals with him. So I'd rather have you go negotiate with my nails as the prize, for that reason, and because he is more comfortable surrounded by fewer people. Please, do try to coax him into taking the most he is comfortable taking, " he smiled, despite his voice was a little stiff and face a touch pale - despite his intentions, giving body parts in such a way was not a small feat. " You see, this is something I'd like to ask of you and to ask for an apology for asking you for it in advance. In truth, I just want to take advantage of the situation to do two good deeds at once, one for you two loverboys, and one for him. "

" You're too sweet... Yes, I am certain. Thank you for letting me do good through you, " despite the gruesome nature of the request, Being seemed determined, standing up and opening door for them as they reached their destination. " I will wait for you at the chair in the hall since there is no play today, there are only a few people in the theatre, so you should be safe. Still, I will keep a focus on you, since you are close, if you think intently of me, I'll come with your two guards. I'll monitor the safety and any darker thoughts at the building, as you you, oh, and by the way - never forget to speak the truth alone with Janus. Be honest with what occasion you are making this gift for, and that is not strictly for a friend. Do so, and you should have a better outcome, in all ways. " he said innocently. " Will you do that fo me, please? Janus will like you more and put more effort for honesty, and he's so distrustful, so I'd enjoy it if he grew to like more nice people. "

"Honesty, I get it," Svarik smiled. "Okay, I'll also check on Emmet while I'm here, but if all is well as I think it is, it shouldn't take long," he said and knocked on the door below the stage.

The stage and the area surrounding it seemed eerily quiet, compared to how it was yesterday at the premiere, packed full of people. Now, there was only a distant sound of gears turning below the stage. There was a silence at first when Svarik knocked, as Being must have been always uncertain of living with humans, and was careful when not sure who is calling.
He wouldn't let children answer the door, though, anxious about their safety with those same humans he distrusted. After a moment, a door opened cautiously and hesitantly,  and the creature looked to see who it was. When he sow Svarik, though, instead of anxiety, a softer undefined note appeared on his face, as the doors opened a little wider.
" Is that... really you? " was the most unusual as far as the greetings go.

Being blinked, looking confused about how he should feel, and not being able to properly express it with words just yet, clumsy with unexpected meetings, as he was used to living alone.
" Hello? " he awkwardly repeated. " Wait, no hello, what I meant to say... it shouldn't be you. You were... dying yesterday. Humans... are fragile. " his voice was a little hoarse. " What an awful fool... could possibly let you go out so soon? " Being barely managed to ask, looking over Svarik's shoulder suspiciously, as if trying to see who to put a blame on, not quite displeased yet, but he seemed to be on the verge of deciding whether he should be or not.

"I didn’t go out," Svarik said appeasingly. "I came in a carriage, with Eros. He made me tea with a lot of nutrients, so I'm feeling much better now. And Senecio is also fine, but still asleep. What about Emmet?"

" Oh... Little Emmet is doing much better. " The explanation and question appeased the creature a little bit, though he was still suspicious. " He is practising some simple clock repairs to get a better hold of his new hand. Would you like to see him? I can let you... how do they say it... yes, I can let you hang out with him if you eat a minimum one slice of pie in exchange. " he didn't slip a beat before trying to coax thedefinitelly too thin and feeble human in his eyes to eat. " Kids have just had a good-job congratulatory pie feast for collecting enough points yesterday, so we have a lot of cherry and apple pie left... I can warm it up for you... "

Re: Senecio adn Tide II

Being nodded, content with that condition, and opened the door for him, leading him inside.
Once they stepped down below, their way was lit up by couple floating blue orbs, that were mostly concentrated around the central part of the underground level, where children were. It indeed seemed like there was a little celebration a minute ago, at least, while it was quiet, food was as plentiful as if there was one - Being bought a lot of the children's favourite pies to reward them, and some empty plates were still aside, along with the trays with quite a bit of leftover slices of a couple of different kinds. The younger children, that seemed stuffed by now were resting and drawing some diagrams at a side table, while at the working table aside, sat Emmet, with a lot of gears and parts set in front of him.

Emmet was watching in the shadows in their direction a little anxiously as if worrying about how Janus's interaction will go and who came to search for them. When he noticed Svarik, his eyes lit up instead, and he stood up shyly to greet them, and along with him, other kids noticed them then and greeted him shyly too. They brought him a chair and offered him a place at their table, without Janus having to do anything, bringing him and offering him some of their pie.

Svarik questioned Emmet about the feeling in his hand while eating the pie, asking if there's any pain or if anything changed since yesterday.

Emmett's complexion looked much better since yesterday, once experience settled down. He spoke lightly and warmly, being surprisingly talkative today, with a light embarrassment of someone not used to talking much, but not being able to help himself. He explained how the fingers don't hurt anymore at all, and how there is only a little dull pain left in the bones of palm that used to be broken, and that he doesn't remember feeling this good. With more relaxed trustful expression he explained how Janus decided to  buy him appropriate painkillers, so that he can use a bit every day, and that with it, it doesn't hurt at all. He explained how it feels strange and unusual and how his hand is weak, but how he is determined to practice until he gets stronger, speaking with very timid but renewed zeal to life, as if before he didn't even dare think much of the future, with his crippled hand. He was timid but proud of how better he got at grasping things, showing Svarik the mechanism he worked on and picking up the gears proudly.

Being didn't disturb them while they talked, mostly keeping a more comfortable distance. He only would get closer when Svarik would pivk another piece of pie, using some circular device to warm it for him, and at one point, he filled him and Emmet a glass of milk and left it at their side - it seemed that he perceived both of them, even if technically adult, as too feeble and malnourished, and he didn't know much about bringing up healthy humans, so he was doing the little he learnt from context so far.

Svarik took the milk and another slice of pie thankfully, knowing he still needs to replenish his energy and just one meal won't do it. He advised Emmet some exercises to strengthen his hand and only when he was content that the boy got them correctly, he turned to Janus. "I also wanted to ask if you could make a little thing for me, or advise me someone who could, if you're not interested. It's nothing fancy, just a pair of matching pendants, with no special properties besides endurance. I'd like to give one as a present to Conrad," Svarik explained.

Being looked a touch surprised, stroking his beard thoughtfully.
" To be honest... I am a little surprised," he admitted. " It is true, among Being craftsmen, you won't find anyone that can make more durable items, but... because of nature of my deals, when they need simpler things, people usually decide for less durable, but less expensive items of other craftsmen," he said, appearing restrained, as if not ready to form an opinion yet without more information. " Is there some specific reason endurance is so needed, and nothing else? I can not quite figure out if I am the best person for it, with such simple specifications... What is the occasion? Is it one of those birthday human customs I was told about? But those things happen so often, so it seems a lot to get an item of such quality for something that happens every year... "

"No, it's not for birthday," Svarik smiled shyly. "I would like it to be special because... well, he's my best friend and Semai. And I'd like to ask him if he'd like to be more. But whatever the answer would be, I would like to give him something as a little keepsake, and I'd like it to be the best it can."
