A pang of guilt weighted down on the demon with that cautious attitude, as he knew he is to blame for it, but despite he tried to keep a straight face, he knew that he could not hide the feeling, because Senecio was literally able to perceive it as it was forming. He took a deep breath.
" I really am sorry, " he repeated quietly. " It is not your fault that there was a side effect to the way we chose to save you, if anyone's, it's ours. Yet, I hate the feeling of knowing you are constantly aware of how anxious I am right now, " Being retreated its hand hesitantly, lowering his head as if trying to appear smaller. " If I may dare to... be presumptuous... You would not... really brake up with me over first real hardship... would you? " the creature asked faintly, with threads of uncertain hope. " I really do want to do better.... If you would let me try. I feel awful... like I am punishing you. But in truth, you did nothing bad to give weight to my doubts. The anxiety and fears are all on me... " |

"It's alright if you're anxious about it," Senecio said. "I'm freaking out too... It's a change between us, that's why I want to know how we will deal with it. But I wouldn't break up with you over it, and you wouldn't break up with me, right? That's the important bit, we just need to figure out the rest."

" No, why would I want to break up with you? " Tide seemed a little distracted by mention, unlike with notion that Senecio may want to break up with him, the opposite idea seeming confusing to him. " It is just, this time the mistake was mine, and the challenge is big. It is only gentlemanly to offer you a way out if you want it, " he whispered, but the words seemed physically hard to say, and he seemed to be subconsciously tense, despite he spoke what he thought about a lot with a calm collected voice. " I just do not wish you to feel pressured to try if... it's all too much for you. I really do want to try to make up for my behaviour. I'd like us to figure this out. But... I can not promise my anxiety will be easy to tame. I was already feeling like you are way beyond my league since we met... " he admitted hesitantly. " But still, I used to feel like I was eligible for a while. But my real nature, despite my efforts, is much more beastly than of humans, and even many Beings. Something you'd get much more direct insight from now on. I guess... I just panicked, because the hope to gradually ease you into that fact was gone... "
(OOC: Do you perhaps have a backup of the old threads? If so, could you send me the document so I can keep a copy? I remember you used to make a backup, and I also was keeping one for myself of my favourite parts of the rp, but the one I had was lost when my previous external drive died last year... I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to read some older posts with Conrad and Svarik, but since the last Cherrizon forum wasn't active since 2016 it got deleted due to inactivity :( I still remember lot of things because I would reread from time to time, but it would be still nice to have a full text. ) |

"Hey," Senecio said gently, "you think I would break up with you over it? No way. I've had my share of bad relationships. When I get to taste the one I want to keep, I'm willing to fight for it. Even if I have to fight your anxiety telling you stupid things about yourself, because you’re gorgeous and more insight just shows me more of how wonderful you are, including your more beastly nature. I don't know if you noticed but I'm kinda into it..." Senecio grinned seductively, or at least tried to because suddenly he paled and bent over the side of the bed. "Uh, I think I'm gonna throw up..."
(OOC: here's what I have: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0prgml8vck8v603/AAAxKdwHsPV9aJnHBQj31mrBa?dl=0 I didn’t have time to make a backup of the new site yet, but I found a program that downloads a full site for offline use, so I'm going to do that instead of copying it into documents) |

As actor spoke, and particularly when he said he's into demon's beastly nature, especially in such manner, Tide's reaction was clear even without additional sense, as his face was burning up, but underneath the surface, there was a strong gust of hope and affection bubbling, and something suppressed, but more overwhelming; a possessiveness and unmistakable adoration, and a burning feverish feeling that could be read as either hunger or lust, or a mix of both, something older before the definition mattered. But as soon as actor bent over, despite those feelings lingered in the air, Tide's immediate response was to reach for him and support him with worry.
" It's... not really a romantic gesture... " he whispered hoarsely as he leaned closer, his hand that held him from a side trembling a little. " But I can help you throw up if you think you'd feel better afterwards... " (OOC: It's great even if it is partially saved, I am not as worried about the current site, because we are still using it so chances of something happening to it is small, but I'll see to backup it as well this time, it'd be really a pity if it got losr, I'm going to download everything from dropbox right now and backup it too! <3 I just noticed you also saved a couple of pictures from previous forum, including the ones where Ben and Svarik were planning their new mansion renovations, and that one ad with the blonde character, it's so nostalgic, can't believe that one was in 2014 :D thank you very much for the link, I was a little depressed when I realized I couldn't find my backup file anymore, so this really cheered me up <3 |

Senecio just managed to shake his head and doubled over, throwing up without any help needed - and it soon became clear why he had been nauseous as what came out looked like coagulated, burnt blood that got into his stomach as poison spread to it, and remained there after it was healed and couldn’t be digested.

Tide seemed really worried and mildly panic at a sight of his boyfriend coughing up dry blood, which to him seemed to be a terrifying sight, despite he knew it was not fresh, the image reminding him on the horrors of the night. Still, he was holding him firmly as he was throwing up, and he seemed to use a bit of his bending of water trick to help him get rid of as much discharge as he could, but he was burning up with concern.
" Should I call Eros to check up on you? " he asked anxiously. " He was worried about you so he decided to stay for a couple of days... " |
Administrator
When it was over, Senecio leant at Tide shakily, but it seemed that he was feeling a bit better with it. "Ugh..." he murmured in disgust and reached for a glass of water at the nightstand. "Way to ruin a moment... It's better already, and I'm not too eager to see him, but it might be better to call him to be sure."
Administrator
" Why are you not eager to see him? Would you be too uncomfortable? " Tide asked quietly, holding onto leaned Senecio a little more tightly than usual, not realizing it in worry. " I guess... Death could reasonably enough confirm you are not in the life-threatening state too if we ask him. It wouldn't be as certain as with Eros, but if avoiding Eros is a priority for some reason, we could do that. I would have asked Svarik to check, but he is resting right now, so I couldn't possibly wake him up, it would be rude... "
Administrator
"Not a priority," Senecio murmured. "I just don't feel like talking to him and facing his patronizing attitude. Don't want to disturb Death though..."
Administrator
" Patronising?" Tide seemed surprised, but he slowly let go, as he didn't want to delay the check-up. " Well, whatever you call it, may it be, as long as you do not call him that to his face, it shouldn't hurt his feelings too much. Let's just clean everything up here first, so you are more comfortable." He decided, and he first used waterbending to cleanse the vomit, before he went to bring Eros.

Senecio lay back down, not that nauseous anymore but still feelimg shaky. "Nah, it's nothing..." he murmured. "Just that annoying feeling when someone you don't like much gives you advice you don't really want and is actually right at the end."

Tide seemed to struggle with the concept, and hesitated whether to call Eros or not now.
" I... Am not sure I would know," he admitted. " When I dislike someone, it's usually the people that definitely are not caring or nice enough to give me good advice." He seemed unsure, lot of mixed feelings swirling through his head." Why do you dislike Eros... Of all people? I am really not sure if I should call him. It may not look like it, but his heart is fragile. He is important person to me, and I owe him a lot of warn feelings, I want to protect him from coldness as much as I can. " He seemed hesitant, as it was personal information, but he still shared quietly in the end. " He was never corrupted so far, but he was close a few times. He is really young, and I am much older, so I have to look out for him, since he doesn't look after himself well..." |
Administrator
"Follow your own judgement in that, I guess," Senecio said. "He knows how I feel about him."

Tide was not sure for a moment, but right now it seemed more important that they see if Senecio is really alright. He left briefly, and brought the Being.
Eros came, right as asked, without any hesitation, despite Tide's concern. Since he knew Senecio's feelings to him, though, he did not linger too long, kindly refusing Tide's offer for refreshments, and he right away began examining the actor, carefully observing his state to check for any aftereffects now that some time has passed. |

There indeed were some - during the poisoning there was internal bleeding in several places, and despite the tissues got healed, the blood remained, turned into a dark, burnt matter by the effects of the poison, and the body wasn't able to break down and absorb it. The one in the stomach wasn't that hard to get rid of, but in other places it seemed stuck.

Eros observed him carefully, taking note of all the places and how bad the state of them was. Then, when he was sure it was all, he explained to them the situation as reassuringly as he could.
" The most important thing is that there are no underlining injuries left right now, " he told them in the end. " And his blood is clean now, with not a shred of poison remaining. That is vital because there is no chance of resurfacing damage from it anymore. However, we can not leave Senecio's body as it is. Things have settled down by now, and he is in a stable state, which is good, " he reassured them. " But despite it is healed, a lot of waste remains in some parts of his tissue, that need to be cleansed. The biggest danger would be if a blood clot develops, and blocks the arteries. Human medicine is not advanced enough to do much about this yet but with Beings, we should be able to help, we just need to decide on the least invasive course of actions... " |
Administrator
Senecio took the news with a weary acceptance. "What are the options?" he asked.
Administrator
" It depends on how long the treatment we prefer. Longer ones would be less invasive but carry more risks. For example, really easy would be for me to regularly construct a special medicine for your blood to think over time and to adsorb the cloths over time. But it would take too long, months or years, and still not fully eliminate the danger during treatment, so we can do it, but it is not my preference. Mostly, because despite that, since the damage from poison remained, you would have a lot of scar tissue at those injured places from within, " he explained. " Despite healed, with all the clothed blood within you, it is inevitable that it stayed. Normally, what we could do about would be a little more limited, but I think if Death was willing to help us, even if invasively, we could solve this problem pretty quickly, " Being said, when it came to helping people, not seeming picky about ways, expressing his opinion. " I have power over chemicals, Tide has power over blood, and Death has the power to heal. This will sound unusual, but with the three of us, if we borrow some high-quality tools from Janus, I believe we can make an advanced operation with minimum risk. I can make the body create proper chemicals to ease our path, and use tools to open the places and remove damaged cells, and scape of as much messy scar tissue as possible, and then, Death can heal the open wound instantly, once damaged part is removed, without the inner scaring and imbalance. And while we work, Tide could make sure that as little blood loss as possible happens, and keep the circulation going properly, so we have quick easy work. When everything's done, I can still balance our chemicals in your body for the final touch. Of course, we can also do it without Death... Tide and I have done similar operations before when needed. But, then, healing afterwards would have to take time and be done with caution, so wounds do not reopen and the situation does not worsen. With Death's instant healing, we could practically have 100% same day recovery rate... "

"Thank you," Senecio said quietly, with a bit hesitant feeling of acceptance towards Eros since the Being didn’t bring up anything about the ball and seemed genuinly interested in helping. "I need some time to think about it. Is it okay if I get up today?"
Administrator
Eros seemed a little taken aback by the thanks, and through his new sense, Senecio could feel he was a bit surprised and confused by it, as he genuinely did not come in hope of any praise. But he coughed, not dwelling on it, but accepting it.
" It is natural I would do whatever I can... Those are two extremes, but if you are not quite comfortable with either, we can all sit down and discuss if we can settle on some option in between. I know it is a lot to take in, " he reassured him. " As for what you can do in meantime, I will admit it is a little blurry. After all, while I handled injured humans, instantly healed but not quite well despite than are a new category. It is definitely not something anyone has done proper research on, " he explained regretfully. " So, since you still have underlining problems, I would be lying to you if I said you can just relax and not think much about it - it could be nothing happens, but it could also be that things take turns for the worse. So, my sincerest advise, even if you do choose to get up, spare your body as much as you can, especially if you keep feeling nauseous and have shortness of breath. And... " he hesitated, as it seemed like meddling, but he had to say it in the end. " Since we have no way of knowing if strenuous activities are making it worse... No dancing, no acting with a generous amount of gestures and movement, no alcohol, no walking up the stairs, and... no lovemaking," he said finally. " Not until we are sure it is safe. Right now, anything that can make your heart beat fast and irregular and give you too many chemical rushes can be dangerous, and Tide loved you too much, and would eat himself forever if you developed complications while under his care. Choice is, in the end, yours, but I advise against it... " |
Administrator
"Well, that helps in the deciding, I guess," Senecio muttered dryly. "The second way it is, it seems."
Administrator
Eros frowned.
" You would not... possibly decide just based on that alone? " he asked hopefully. " Senecio, I know it may sound mean to repeat it, but you were dead for half an hour, and bringing you back to this extend, with your mind fully intact and body recovered to this extent is merely possible because a lot of powerful people did their best, " he whispered. " It is natural after such a huge toll on your body, that some additional mending and care is needed for a full recovery... But you don't have to rush into it right away. Hans arranged that the next playing of Spirit and demon king story is a week apart from the first, so you still have five days until then, and there's plenty of time to decide in between if we are going slower or faster way, and to make sure you are risk-free enough to play it without fear. I am not going anywhere. Just take a bit more time to think it through, please? There is nothing wrong with resting for a day or two until you can be sure you are ready and are entirely sure the faster way is alright with you... " |
Administrator
"I'll think about it, but if it's like you say and the only disadvantage of the second way is some cutting, while the first is worse in everything else, it seems a pretty clear choice to me," Senecio said, but there was a hint of fear and discomfort in his answer - not at the mention of the cutting though, but a noticeable spike of it with the mention of the next play in a week.
Administrator
Eros could feel how he was responding to the words he was saying, and at which the strongest response was, so he suspected what may be the bigger source of anxiety.
" Cutting is a simple way to put it, but it is still invasive surgery, and humans are not used to things like that... " he still first said. " If Death pitches in with his instant healing, the invasion would be short-lived, but it is can still be the traumatic thing to overcome. You are a strong person that... has been through a lot... but I just want us to be careful and not rush into things that are too much without proper mental preparations first, " he said. " But... if it's for comfort, I do not think you have to worry about going through this all again. I talked with Janus last night when I went to him to pay him for some deal... He found the way poison was administered, " he revealed quietly. " There was no trap within the stage mechanisms, but once he checked the stage thoroughly, he found that there was a hidden trap on the stage, in the mechanism that controls the rising and changing of coulises. The trap was timed so that it is activated on the day of the play, and shoot a needle towards the throne at a time when only you could possibly be there, with enough poison to slowly kill you right by the time the play ends. Janus dismantled everything around it and rebuild that mechanism from scratch, so it is much faster and that it's impossible to plant traps there in the future, but even if someone tried to plant a trap again, he grew quite paranoid with it, and he confided that he is going to be checking the whole stage every night when humans are absent. And... as for the next week, you do not have to worry. Even if I have to come backstage and keep low profile, I will come to the next show, too, and monitor carefully. If you were treated right away, as soon as you got poisoned, you could have been saved on time with much less damage, maybe even no need for surgery at all. It is only because we waited until the end, when it was too late, that saving you was so difficult. If someone poisons you again, this time, we will just stop the play right away. I still haven't identified the exact poison, because it is hard to work on it without Hans, who could gather information on rare goods circulating, but in the worst case, while it would be last resort, we could still neutralize poison with my blood, while it still just entered the body and the damage is still faint. Whatever happens, we will make sure that you will be okay... " |
