(OOC: He would not heal Hans first before it takes a lot of magic and he wants to make sure he has enough to heal Emmet first and won't run out while healing him) "Everything going smoothly in the theatre? Do you need help with anything?" Senecio asked. |
Administrator
" That depends, of course. On a scale of one to ten, how much are you eager to walk out of this situation? " Hans turned his head back at him, gesturing with his eyes at the group, and finally, only then, smiling a little at Senecio, despite, because of the pain he must have been in, his smile was a bit faint. " If you'd rather stay, I really have everything under control. If you're over your head with it all, though, everything's a mess, and I'm terribly short-staffed. So, what do you say? "

Senecio chuckled. "Since you're not there at the moment, it can be anything." He turned to Tide. "So you're going to prepare a room for Death now?"
Administrator
" I think he is not up to a dress right now... So, if he feels up to it, maybe working on his room would be better. " Tide admitted with more easy, as he had seen there wasn't going to be further argue." I have couple of forms very fit for building with wood, and I can cut it easily, with water under pressure, do once I get the thimber, I can build quite fast. When I think about it, since I know sewing, I can probably build him a bed from scratch, too..."

"In that case I will leave you to it, I am useless at that kind of thing," Senecio said, nodding to Hans that he will join him.

Hans grinned at it, and he, Sage and little Xia left the room, to first arrange for the Xia's trip, and then go to the theatre. Now only ones left were Death, Tide and Jake, and while Tide probably wanted to ask Jake what he wishes to do, cook beat him to it, in his characteristic chill way.
" Okay, now's down to three... Would you appreciate a company to hang out with you and hand you cookies as you build?" He asked Death, actually, stretching. " Or would you rather I discretely go to cook you more food while you stay with Tide to cry or something?" |
Administrator
"Uh... stay for now," Death murmured, appreciating the excuse of Jake's presence to not have anymore intimate talks with Tide.

( OOC: Have you read the original bad script for Good Omens? I'll read all when I have time, so far I've only skimmed through it, but it's just so bad, I have to send you the link so you don't miss out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K1iWSSQh9dWkzcYkxGhBE7sWRR4I9r0Y/view :D
" Alright, so, then, how about seeing that glowing indoor forest made out of tree sculptures? " Cook asked as he went toward the basket, so he could carry foods and drinks, speaking rather casually and pragmatically, rather easing the worrisome atmosphere with his attitude. " Indoor forest sounds like a pretty matching choice for an indoor cottage, so I vote that we check it out first, so Mister While here can see if it's mysterious enough for him... " he smiled a bit. " Or if he'll pick, like, some totally black room with no light sources whatsoever for the whole Death aesthetics thing. " |
Administrator
(OOC: I have it but I didn't read it. I've read someone's notes from reading it and decided I would rather spend my time writing :D I'm already writing the last chapters of my story and just started posting the first ones and I'm a bit nervous about that posting part, lol) "Oh, you would be surprised how much the so called Death aesthetics differ in different cultures," Death murmured. "Somewhere it's pure white. Or red or brown. Gold or silver. That forest sounds interesting, though." |
Administrator
( OOC: Yes, it sounds pretty bad, I am really curious, but I'll probably give up around half of it, I just need at least a little bit, the opening scene in a museum doesn't sound too bad on first look, but that's probably because nobody speaks through it, so no place for being mean, it's just the opening credits - and apparently Crowley was green snake in the script, and had dark glasses even in cave paintings, lol, it's like a gimmick :D
And you're already by the last chapters? That's great! I don't think you should be nervous, your writing is always good, I'm sure people will love it ( as long as there isn't a long waiting time between cliffhangers :D) And when you say *mine*, do you mean that Good Omens ic you mentioned or something about Heart of the Mountains? :) Because if it's latter and in English, I am calling dibs on reading first :D And if it's a Good Omen fic you spoke about, I will read it when all chapters gather up, and even so, I doubt anyone minds reading one more of your Crowley and Zira story, they are always adorable, even in darker things, and I'm sure you did them justice, like always ;) " Yes, even if you don't choose it, I hope you'll love it! It's a really dear place to me, I modelled it after my favourite forest! " Tide exclaimed proudly. " Mordred, the son of the emperor that conquered the seashore, cut it down for timber and to make clearing for his army when going further south, and it's a field of barley now, but it was a dear place to me, so when I was choosing my rooms, I knew I had to make one a forest... Just glowing one, of course. Adding glow to everything is an improvement. " he grinned, standing up, and offering a hand to Death. " May I carry you to it? Jake can open the doors for us. " |

(OOC: The Good Omens fic. I will let you know when it's complete! And... I might have written something about that cursed script, lol. It's on my tumblr, I don't know if I should even post it on ao3.) "Alright, but won't you mind changing the room and building in it if it's your favourite forest?" Death asked. "I would have preferred an emty room, without destroying something..." |
Administrator
" Since when is altering something destroying it? Things change all the time. It's just a place of great joy to me... I sort of met a person I really loved, and later I got married to him there, that's all. Under apple blossoms, white and pure, falling like snow, we first kissed... These were the really sweet days. " Tide smiled a little, as he knelt and shyly and carefully took Death in his arms, raising him up. " But that forest is just a recreation of a real thing, that is gone for good anyway. At this point, it's just a good memory of good days... It'd be just as good memory to have another good day in it. So, what do you say? "
Administrator
"If it doesn't feel like I'm intruding into your memories..." Death murmured.
Administrator
" Is it just me, or is my dear Semai whom I accepted into my very mind wholeheartedly suddenly worried about intruding into my memories? " Tide seemed a bit amused, after all the stress, a soft smile spreading upon his lips. He carefully brought him to a comfortable position, lettering him lean on his chest - for him, raising Death was no different than raising a cup of tea. " You can't destroy a forest that's already gone. You can't... bring back a man that already left me," he replied simply and clearly, adding shyly. " It all ended pretty badly, and I was devastated at a time, but it is what it is. Still, it's fond to remember what I have that was special, even if it's over. Besides, it doesn't matter anymore, not right now. " he sighed wistfully, as Jake packed the things and they began to walk, looking somewhere in the distance. " Now I have something just as breathtaking... "

(OOC: fast forward and move to Svarik and Emmet?)
Death liked the room with the forest and agreed to build a little house there, reminding him on his life before becoming a king. --- After playing for the Sea Deaity, Svarik and Conrad headed for the theatre, as they agreed with Emmet. |

( OOC: That may be best, I agree :) )
It seemed, despite what he said, that, at least before Jake, Tide preferred to keep to his more appealing form, and didn't change it. But that didn't hinder him much, as he indeed seemed very proficient and fast builder. Once he ordered and brought enough timber, he would easily pick it up with his inhuman strength, and his ability to control water enabled him to use it under extreme pressure and cut wood with it with precision. He really seemed to enjoy it, as he hadn't done it for a while, and he was immersed into it completely, discussing with Death what shape of the house he likes most, and what details to add, which he could carve out using his faint fire powers. Jake seemed pretty content to just watch with Death, and not do much, other than discussing advice with them. There was a fireplace in front of the spot they picked for the little house, and so, the cook used it to warm Death's cookies and would hand couple to him every now and then, in breaks between building, seeming content to do that, that is, to just participate in something out of the norm without having to put much mental effort into it, to not talk much, but not be left to his own thoughts either. --- Sage, who was their guide to Sea Deity, went with them and went the other way to pick up Hans, knowing the Spirit would be restless if not woken up to make sure the day goes smoothly. When they reached the theatre, he was the one that first went downstage where Janus was. He returned swiftly, with a sleepy, but more enthusiastic Hans - it seemed that night without much pain, thanks to both Svarik's skill and Senecio's balm, did him much good. He thanked him, and they parted ways, letting them know Janus said they could come in. They descended down the stairs, under the stage. It was mostly dark - and in the half-darkness, only a right, little blue lantern, illuminated the room - it was flowing above the table, and upon the table, were a lot of metal parts and cuts, and all down on the floor, were many papers - countless and countless sketches of anatomy and possible prototypes. There were no children in the room right now. The three kids must have left to buy medicine Emil needed for the procedure. Sitting at a table, was only the ancient Being. He was quiet and thoughtful, and by the only sound of screwdriver-like device creaking in the room, he seemed to be fine tuning something. |

(OOC: damn, it's been so long I forgot the kid's name. He's Emil? I searched an old post to remember and found Emmet, who is Emmet?) "Greetings," Svarik said quietly. "Is everything alright here?" |
Administrator
( OOC: Ooops, it's mine mistake, I mixed up the name, the older apprentice is Emmet, you had it right - Emil is the character too, he's Cernunnos's son who is forever stuck to remain as a child - he lives in the other fortress and is looking after his people. My bad, names are somewhat similar, so I got them mixed up <3 )
Being's gaze was cast downwards, but with the address, he slowly looked up. Svarik could see that he didn't seem hurt, but there was certain faint thoughtfulness and exhaustion upon his face, and in his eyes, Svarik could see hunger, one suppressed and reserved, concealed under the weariness - and his hands that looked fine from a distance, appeared just a little bloody and swollen, some surface of the furr around his fingertips scrapped, perhaps from exertion to make it in time, or from heaviness of work. " Everything is alright, little one. " still, he whispered, as he raised his look, and even managed a little smile. " Your host is just silly... silly Being... I... fear I didn't have time for the breaks of leisure. I wanted to do this right. How are you, though? " he asked quietly, with a hint of worry. " Are you faint of health? I heard you were going to visit the Sea Deity and play for it... " |
Administrator
"Yes, I did that," Svarik nodded. "I'm fine now. I have magic to give and I'll give all of it today, to Emmet how much he needs and the rest to Hans. I know that and I prepared for it."
Administrator
A little wrinkle cleared out from creature's face, and he smiled a little, with relief.
" That's... good. Do not think ill of me, please, but I might have gotten a little worried. " he murmured, looking down at a contraption he was making, half concealed in a pile of metal parts and various strange devices and tools, half of which were unrecognizable in human culture. " I understand the life of Sea Deity and its health is important to the whole Sea. But... this is important to me. I am glad you came... " |
Administrator
"Of course we did," Svarik said, as if any other option was absurd. "So you are ready? Or do you need more time to finish this? And where is Emmet?"
Administrator
" I am just checking everything to make sure it will function together properly. But I already fine tuned it five times, so it's just for good measure. Do you want to see?" Being asked shyly, inviting him with a gesture." Rain was more free, so I bid him to escort the kids to the human medicine seller, to get the human painkiller. They should be back shortly., I was told it was not far... " He answered king's question, and by his words, it seemed Emmet still didn't tell him he planned to do this without the painkiller, or give him the cut part. Emmet probably didn't think king would come yet, and didn't find right moment to inform him yet.
Administrator
"Alright, we will wait for them," Svarik said, not wanting to unintentionally rush the communication between the two of them again.
Administrator
" They should be back any moment now... " Janus whispered, shifting a little uncomfortably - it seemed he wasn't sure what to say or do, as he didn't have food to offer them right now, and he was clearly not used to socialisation and small talks. So, he turned to what he did know, moving the glowing floating lantern a bit upwards with a gesture of his hand, so it could illuminate the table better. " Would... would you like to see how it turned out? " Being cleared its throat, chipping in with some hesitant and nervous stutter. "I had to return to such primitive mechanical technology, but... Emmet can learn to grasp this much better. I built it so that it won't make him a week or two before he can learn to maintain it on his own. As long as he is happy, well, he is a child, still, so... it's okay, even if it is a toy... "
Administrator
"Yes, and it's really much better for him than waiting and having nothing in that time. Please show me," Svarik said.
