By the keen attentive interest he was enveloped in, Senecio could easily notice that Hans was memorising the wine actor liked for future reference. Tide didn't have such deep thoughts, too happy in the moment. He was ordering lot of different foods that sounded interesting, while Alpha was pouring wine for them all.

Senecio raised his glass. "To future family," he said simply.

His words were simple, but they encompassed the hopes and aspirations of everyone at the table, whose hearts grew brighter with his words, and the meaning behind them. His future parents and husband all raised their glasses.
" To the future family, " their voices and feelings rang together with his. They all seemed happy, in their own flavour of happiness, everyone looking forward to lot of different things that overlapped, but looking forward honestly and vibrantly - and just like Senecio mentioned before, it was rather clear the future family he somehow ended up with was as loud as they get when mashed together, filling the moment with intense free feelings.

Senecio didn’t resist the flow of happiness, accepring it as his own, realising that, in Hans's mataphor, he could try to be a fish, but that didn’t mean swimming against the current all the time. He shared that observation with the others as he thought about it. "I guess sometimes you can even use the current to better swim where you want, can't you?" he added.

" Yes, " Hans agreed readily between sips, beaming with sparkle of pride, and glad he can give constructive criticism. " Nobody said you'll have to just jump straight into hard work. For a start, it's important that you get a better feel for the difference between current and you. As long as you don't lose yourself in the current or end up stranded by it, I'm sure you'll discover sooner or later what kind of swimming you love doing. Even when Singers Sing, most Songs are in favour of currents - it's easy to affect something that would happen naturally with time, like killing a mortal with a song or making a tree bloom. But trying to keep someone meant to die alive, trying to make old tree young again, making rotten fruit ripe - those are hell of a harder things that require lot of power and mental fortitude. Even Singers don't often go against the current of the music, most of the time, they just all learn to use the flow to their advantage, in their own unique way. I'm sure you can find your own equivalent to it with time. "

" Yes, what would a tiny cute fish be thinking, trying to swim against the current right away? Just as Hans said, Singers aren't made in a day. They are made from Listeners who were fearless and patient. It's natural there are not many who can be both crazy enough to not go mad from the music of the world, and patient enough to keep yearning to listen and figure it out, " Alpha chimed in playfully, with bright overflowing curiosity. " I'm curious to see what kind of Singer equivalent feelings master you'll end up becoming, but all in all, my advice is, just take the most fun authentic road and you can't go wrong. "

" Yes, we are all firm believers in forging our own paths. We may advise you, but I'm sure I speak for all when I say we believe in you picking best for yourself, " Tide tied in lively. " After all, we are insanely powerful Star that doesn't want to fight anyone and instead likes the hell out of sewing clothes, lovely nature Spirit that gets a kick out of cruel poetic justice, and a Demon that is made of countless eaten souls that adores nurturing souls. We all picked roads we wanted to take, it's only natural that you follow our steps and do whatever the hell you want with your life, too. "

"When you put it like that, it's really cool how you all picked whatever path you wanted... does a trained assassin who actually wanted to be an actor fit in?"

Tide beamed gently with the words, indeed, loud in his chaotic brimming joy.
" Of course, why wouldn't you? Right guys? "
" Naturally, " Alpha agreed playfully, raising three thumbs up and winking. " Even by sheer overcoming of odds, you fit right in, you stylish cream puff. "
Hans was the only one that rolled his eyes a little bit.
" Would you just look at this rose, asking if it fits in among flowers? " he said bemusedly, and maybe encouraged by the atmosphere and their previous talk, he innocently extended hand toward his head and flicked his forehead lightly, as if scolding him. " For someone so smart, you can be a real piece of work sometimes, you know? When you're describing yourself, try to be a little more realistic, okay? Trained assassin's a person who was trained and succeeded. You can't call yourself that if you never killed anyone. It's just bad grammar at that point," he said with a grin. " You are a disguise expert that chose to become an actor. You're pretty cool yourself, so don't talk like you've gotten from worst to the better. You're a pretty awesome disguise master as well, I can be the judge of that because I've had plenty of fun going on an incognito outing thanks to your skills. You just picked the main profession you wanted the hell more out of from the two, that's all. "

"I said trained, not trained successfully," Senecio smirked. "Anyway, that's what I was supposed to be, which worked about as well as you being a cute nature spirit."

Hans snorted, as it must have sounded even more ridiculous coming from Senecio.
" Well, can't argue that I hardly look like a cute nature Spirit, but honestly, if we are taking about assassins, I am probably most successful assassin from all four of us, so, please, don't even joke about that," Hans waved away. " You and Alpha have the best kill count from all of us, zero you, one him, so you really shouldn't describe yourself like that. "
" Well, nobody said you can't be an assassin and be a cute nature Spirit," Alpha said innocently." It's pretty hard for you to not be cute, even with all else. Though, by the way, my kill count is actually 3, but yes, I do think I am second lowest after Senecio, still. " He smiled faintly at him." It's pretty hard to beat zero, after all.. "

The restourant was of high quality and expensive, so food was rather good. They all enjoyed themselves while eating, and Hans also discretely took out a jar of shells for Tide to snack on and mix with his food, as well as three delicious cookies for Senecio, and a little cup of preserved strawberries for Alpha, so they could all have a bit of something they liked to end the meal with.

" It's a bit further, in a big space at the east edge of the city. Should we rent a carriage to get there, or should I bend a space a teensy bit so that we can walk to it in five or so minutes? " Alpha asked. " I can't bend the space around others too much, but using the fabric, that much distance over five minutes will be fine. I just can't wait to see what we end up picking! "

"I can't decide if hiring a carriage to go buy a carriage is classy or not, what do you think?" Senecio asked. "In any way, I'd vote for an option where we are seen going there. Tide, you said something about riding before. Do you think we could?"

" Riding, like... a horse? No one horse alone can definitely handle my weight on his back, " Tide made sure to double-check, before adding hopefully. " But if you mean riding me, yes, I can turn into quite a bit four-legged forms. I can even make one big enough for all three, but it will draw more attention that humanoid form, that is a given. Since Fourth city is famous for exotic animals, and people aren't exactly educated deeply on what exotic animals exist, people will probably assume I am just an unusual exotic animal. "

" We don't have to worry about breaking a law, don't worry, guys, " Hans reassured them calmly. " I have three different kinds of documents for exotic animal ownerships we may need, based on what similar animal type we pick, whether it's more horse-like, wolf-like, or dragon-like. Depending on need, I either go with Tide being an exotic breed of rare wild mount, rare kind of mountain wolf or giant exotic lizards from the south. "

Tide thought it through for a moment.
" I have one in mind that I like running in, and that would be fun to drive the carriage with too, if it turns out okay... but we should get to the back alley so we don't scare anyone, by me suddenly transforming, " he noted honestly, and they stepped aside for a moment, to a secluded blind street. There, after taking a deep breath, Tide disappeared for a lingering moment and then appeared again, in a new form, with a hopeful and more trusting heart awaiting Senecio's reaction to seeing it for the first time. The creature was twice the size of a horse, and it didn't look either quite the wolf or the equine, with elongated form, soft fluffy fur, and a long tail and head decoration. Like in all his outside forms, though, it had a mask over his face, to not make people uncomfortable with his eyes.

Senecio stepped a bit further away to admire him, and then came closer again and caressed the creature's fur. "I love seeing more of your forms," he whispered and kissed it on the lowered head.

Tide was already getting a little more secure in Senecio's acceptance, but each time he accepted a new side of him, the actor could feel the creature's heart growing more trusting and full, his confidence and feeling of safety with him growing stronger and less anxious each time. With a gentle kiss on top, his mind was overflowing with vulnerable but warm appreciation, full of hope and wonder.
" I love... being with you, " a voice whispered into his mind, as the creature nestled its head against his chest, closing its eyes blissfully. " In all of my forms... "

" Just climb on my back, there's enough space for everyone, you can hold onto my long hairpiece to be more comfortable, "the voice responded confidently, sitting down on the ground so they could climb.
" Senecio and Hans, you should sit closer to the head, it will be nice and soft, " Alpha instructed. " Since I have more arms and more to hold on to easier, I'll sit behind you two to support you if needed. We currently don't have it, but by the time the carriage is ready, next time let's see to get a saddle made, that can connect well to the carriage. "

Perhaps because he was still in a more frail and unstable state, Hans was more sensitive to Senecio's actions ever since they talked about the adoption. A serene affectionate expression on his face as he took the actor's hand was honest, although the feelings behind it were timider. Indeed, it was a good choice, in any case, to have Hans ride in the middle since his body was still relatively weak, and once Alpha climbed from behind and supported the two of them, having support from both sides, it seemed Hans felt rather more secure and freer.

Since he was behind Senecio and they didn't have a saddle, he hesitated for a moment, but then he fought against his doubts and fear of rejection, and gathered all the courage he could to overcome the instinct to shy away from such things, and embraced Senecio from behind, steadying himself by leaning against his back comfortably. It was a perfect excuse and he knew it, and despite he knew Senecio would know it too, he was clearly indulging himself in the perfect chance. More emotionally than physically secure between Senecio whom he leaned against, Alpha who was supporting him from behind, and Tide who they were to ride, he was flustered, and this frail joy felt more pure and innocent than most of the time actor had seen him.

" You guys... n-need to make sure I don't fall," he murmured a tease that was only a tiny bit true, but mostly an excuse through and through. His voice was trembling slightly, in contrast to neutral words. " First priority, carriage, second priority, avoiding looking like an idiot who can't even ride a tame giant critter properly... "

Despite it may have been a challenge to ride a mystical beast of such size, Tide was very tame and pleasant to lean on due to his soft furr and curves, as it was really comfortable and soft ride. Their mounth brought them attention, but since it didn't have too big impression of a mystical beast, most people seemed to think of it as an unusual and rare exotic animal. It was a rather fun ride forward to the edges of the city, along the coast line, and as there were less people at that point and the air was warm, Hans was dosing off comfortably between them as they neared their destination.
