Senecio enjoyed the ride, but as they were nearing the destination, he started looking for some empty alley. "Hey Tide, you're going to change back before we get there, right?" he asked. "I don't want you having to wait for us in front of the shop..."

" I thought you were going to show me of so they can have better idea what kind of contraocion would be easiest for me to draw in this form. Carriages are usually tailored to horses or donkeys at sea," Beast noted." But you are right, with Hans, it may not be too hard to have him describe...  if you would rather have me pick with you, I can change the form back. I think behind that building among the trees should be safe to change, I can't feel any humans. "

"I just don't want to leave you somewhere outside for us. And I'd rather like a carriage with adjustable or exchangeable contraption, so that you can ride in it too."

" Well, yes, nobody said we will turn you into a work animal. Obviously we will ride the carriage interchangeably," Alpha tied in." Both me and Hans can take on more beastly forms, so we should get extendable mechanism so we can easily change  at different times."
Tide, who didn't really think of exchanging before, smiled more brightly at the realisation he can also take a part of the picnic that way.
" Oksy then," he said shyly, and them went to a concealed corner where they changed form and woke up dleepy Hans a little, before they went to the carriage shop to pick a model to their liking.

"We can also rent horses and all ride in the carriage," Senecio said. "Hello. We want the best and most expensive carriage you have," he announced in the shop.

" But we also want model to be adjusted so that it has open roof with railing," Alpha tied in.
" And we want two crests cuatom made at both sides, and we want to silver plate decorations," Hans tied in.
Shopkeeper saw the chance to earn money, so ge led them to the wip part with most expensive models, where theypicked and customised what they liked best, and Hans paid extra so they could hure more workers to make adjustments in the next few days.

Senecio enjoyed the special attention they got as valuable customers and nodded to every luxury addition that was suggested to them.

In the end, they decided on a luxury option with an open roof, elegant railings, of deep black colour, with decorations of pears and plated gold that they all liked. As they picked everything and were going out of the building, Alpha whispered conspiratorially to him.
" If you want any visual adjustment when the carriage arrives, just tell me, " he said innocently. " Besides the usual magical contrivances, I can also give you some cool diamonds we can add to decorations, if you'd like, just for the hell of it. I like blowing people's minds and sprinkling the chaos through and through. "

"Me too, so feel free to do any adjustments you want," Senecio chuckled. "Now, we already got furniture and a carriage, do we need anything else here or are we going to get back and top it with a building?"

" Depends how eager you are to buy a building, sugar," Alpha said innocently." If you want to get right at it, we don't have anything else to do. If you are not in rush, we can also go through some souvenir shops and the flea market I mentioned before. In any case, we should atleast get a nice flower pot or two, and some kitchen utensils and cute teapots, and some nice seashells for him to nibble. It's only proper to give him some well intentioned homewarming gift when he's moving in his first appartment, that's all. "

"It feels a bit like eating the dessert before the main course," Senecio said. "The problem is the dessert is here and the main course isn't, so... maybe we can check the most interesting shops here and some more at home if we have enough time after checking the buildings?"

" Sure, it shouldn't be hard," Alpha agreed." Or we could also return jow, pick the building, and then get back here for the presents we pick?" Hans suggested reasonably." Flyers can take us back and forth rather fast, and Xia sort of ended up working for us. We can give her some pocket money to take us back and forth. I just didn't feel like it was urgent to be fast since we wanted a leisured boat ride.  "

"How do we call her?" Senecio asked. "She may want to join us in buying some trinkets. Otherwise we don’t need to go back and forth, we can get trinkets at he as well."

" If I remember the timetable  Sage made for her right, and I do, she should have finished her sign language  class with a demon tutor we assigned her around half an hour ago. Right now she should be following Sage around and observing the world from his pocket during his daily duties so it should be alright to call her to have some fun. I am not really that into babysitting and educating kids as I suck at it, but Tide is here and he's good at it, and I guess we should all put a bit of effort into giving her a good time so she doesn't grow up into a miserable loner... I have couple of her hairs, so we can easily call her. A fliyer like her should be here in couple  minutes. "

"Well, okay then. When she's here, we can ask her which option she would prefer herself," Senecio nodded.

They went to the secluded area with trees from before, and there, Hans used Xia's hair to call her. Since she could fly faster without passengers, it only took the creature couple of minutes to reach them. She landed down in front of them in her winged fox form. Senecio noticed her feelings reminded him a little of Svarik's, but were more withdrawn and wary. She seemed a little nervous for flying through the sky on her own, but since she had a clear direction toward her hair, it seemed she was adjusting to it.
Since Tide, a demon was here, she didn't need to take on a more humanoid form to talk with sign language, as Tide translated for her. He explained their situation on demonic whistling language, and fox demon nodded her head slowly, with fully focused expression, like a kid being asked a trick question.

" But both cities... are so near? Just like all the best cities that are close... It is easy to go back and forth. You just follow the sealine and you can't get lost, " Tide translated her reply word for word, with a little smile. " Don't worry, little customers. Xia has learned about the coastline from both left and right sides and even knows some islands. Everything is near through the air, so customers can go wherever they feel like, as long as it is within the time limit. Xia doesn't have the next job until sunset. "

"They're not so near if you can't fly," Senecio smiled. "Let’s go look at the buildings first then, and after that we can return and get everything else here."

" Do you want me to become a big fluffy dragon so you have more space? " Tide translated for Xia, but Alpha tied in then.
" I don't think it would be necessary, well, at least not for spacessake. I'd prefer if you take one of us fingernails and summon me when you get back to the city so we can pick the heck out of them cute buildings. I know my request may be petulant and spoiled, " Being grinned a little. " But I have never flown before, and I promised my first flight to meadow king, as a part of a super-secret fun deal I made with him for basically impenetrable fairy armour for clothes I made for sir Falcon. I didn't fly this far, it will be more fun for me to save it for a memorable occasion. I can travel anywhere at the speed of light, anywhere, as long as I have something to ground my destination. "

" Yes, Hans has my cut fingernails, so it will be easy to summon me through them. Do you need your stack replenished or do you still feel like you have enough? "
" Yes, I have, like, tens of dozens, more than I'll ever need, so it'll definitely not be running out anytime soon," Spirit rolled his eyes lightly.
" Well, as my future boyfriend, it is only natural you run out of them eventually, so you must have ample means to call me whether it's business or pleasure, though I naturally encourage pleasure, " Being teased, and Hans pretended not to hear as he asked the rest of the group.
" So, now that that's settled, do we pick definitely not an inconspicuous flying fox, or absolutely not an inconspicuous flying dragon? Well, it sure feels weird riding a Being that is so eerily similar to sir Svarik, but that will be true regardless of the form, so I'll leave it up to you two to choose what you like best. "

"What Xia feels more comfortable with," Senecio said, feeling a bit uncomfortable with dictating a shape to a Being.

Xia seemed to take that as a trick question too, pondering carefully what would be the right answer as she struggled to make choices on her own and navigate the complicated world around her. As she was thinking, feelings reflecting her thoughts were a little tense and anxious.
She asked something on demon language, and Tide smiled faintly.
" Yes, if the bigger form is fluffier and levitates instead of having the flapping of wings, it will certainly be more comfortable, " he explained in both languages, and Xia seemed relieved and a little proud for reaching a good answer. She took a couple of steps back, and then, she took a deep breath and put thought into the form that she used before once, to fly Death and Nammy from the river back to the city when man was learning to play the shell flute. It was also a form she used a bit in the last two days, to transport a bigger number of non-flying Beings, so she was slowly getting more used to it - a form of a fluffy dragon full of feathers, and bright yellow, like the sun.

Hans seemed to appreciate the spot, again hugging Senecio, while this time, Tide embraced them from behind. He was savouring the situation as Xia rose and began to fly back toward the city. Way through the air was much quicker and felt more exciting, but Xia's skin and feathers were pleasant and almost a bit hot to the touch, so they had a comfortable warm short ride barely ten minutes long.

Senecio watched the shore from above with interest and wonder, admiring the patterns of the waves and of the coastline. He saw it before when Tide was jumping with him, but only shortly, so flying above it was a new experience.
