Senecio adn Tide II

"Exactly," Senecio nodded. "So let us accompany you back to the theatre now before Janus gets too worried. We'll take care of the rest after that, okay?"

[VisAnastasis]

The children weren't sure what to say, as the situation, especially after such a sudden change in their lives, felt rather surreal, even more so, since Senecio was connected to that change. They were a little overwhelmed, but they nodded lightly, following them outside, Emmet, who was the last, gazing a little thoughtfully back at the attack, before following.
Hans left the instructions with the overseer of the property that they will be buying it, and then, Xia picked them up so they could fly the children back to the theatre, as indeed, after being absent for a while, Janus would definitely be getting a bit worried.

After they left them in the theatre, they went back to buy the building. The paperwork they left to Hans's people, and then flew back to the Fourth city to do more shopping.

With Xia, everything indeed felt like it was near, just around the corner, and they barely felt the distance of the flight. Little Demon was quieter before when she didn't have anything to add, but this time, she followed them around the shops and souvenir places they visited, in a form of a small yellow dog, looking around, trying to learn as much about how things worked and looking at merchandise. Hans offered to buy something for her, but she refused, saying she is looking if there is anything Worth While may like, but that if she finds it, she will buy it with her own money. She did accept the candy he bought from the street vendor, though, eating as she searched among the countless stands along with the others.

"Don't you want anything for yourself?" Senecio asked her. "It's fun, getting pretty things just so, because they are pretty. For Hans, money is like flying for you. He's got enough to share without being a bother, like you share your flying with us. For you it's something you have in plenty, while we can't fly on our own and it's very rare for us. Come, let's pick something nice for you, shall we?"

That was indeed very tempting to little creature. Senecio could feel that she was trying to not be a burden to anyone, after she had made Death uncomfortable by relying too close to him. She was still very little, though, and it was lonesome and heavy to consciously act mature. But the temptation was too great, and the stands so colorful, and in the end, with Senecio's encouragement, she finally gave in. She whistled something, with feelings of embarassed, cautious hope, and Tide's voice was a touch hoarse with pity as she translated her request.

" If you are sure, then perhaps... If it's not much for mister Hans... maybe we can find some of those soft toy friends that children were carrying before? They cost many small coins, and Xia will not be able to save up for it for some time, since she is saving for Worth While first," Tide translated quietly for her, as she made her case with a childlike fear she will be ridiculled for her immature desire, fidgeting lightly. " Mister Cernunnos has gifted Xia wooden toy friends to play with, but they are cold, and you can't hug them. Xia... Thinks a warm toy friend to hug at night would be nice. Xia... Planned to save up later... "

"Oh, of course you can get one or a few," Senecio said reassuringly. "Do you have a room in the house? We should make it really cosy."

But Sage explained that one should have a place to meet with language teacher, and to keep saved money and wooden toys of Mister Cernunnos. Xia agreed in the end, but... Big rooms are intimidating. They are cold. So Sage let Xia pick a smaller room in the attic," creature explained through Tide." It is not much... A sofa, a grassy carpet, a toy cupboard, a learning table, and resting bed. It is... small enough to handle somehow," Tide paused a bit, not sure how to translate exact whistle into words, before adding." But it should still be plenty of space for a soft toy friend or.. two... Should it not?" Xia asked hopefully, trying to figure  out if she is right." Xia knows the tidy rules are to keep toy friends in the cupboard, but can Xia keep soft toy friends on the bed? Sage gifted Xia lot of soft blankets, but... It does not feel happy to hug a blanket at all. It is not different than hugging a carpet or sofa. So Xia wanted to practice sleep-rest while hugging a soft friend. "

"Of course, bed is also a proper place for a soft toy friend. You know what? I'll also get one. I'm just furnishing my room too, but I didn’t get any yet. And for your room, we could get more nice things, if you want. The more nice things, the more cosy the room feels. Even a small room can feel too big if it's empty."

Xia seemed to be a little surprised but also encouraged by Senecio not finding her desire childish and even saying he'll join in - after all, she only sow soft toys with children, not counting Simbel, who was a special case, being a genderless critter tied to the pond. She seemed relieved and glad Senecio seemed to be a special case, too. Her feelings were a little brightened up as if she found a sense of purpose, but she did not want to impose too many expenses on them either, voicing her feelings clearly through Tide.

" We... we should check the toys first... and then see, maybe... But it's really fine. Even just one nice reliable soft toy friend is fine. In return, Xia, Xia is very good with judging textures, " she wagged her tail enthusiastically as she figured a way to give back. " Xia will help you pick toys that are best for hugging! "
" There is a big toy shop not far from here, on the main square, " Alpha joined in, " It has all kinds of toys, so there should be plenty of soft ones to choose from. "

"Cool, let's go get some soft toy friends!" Senecio proclaimed.

Xia seemed encouraged by the playful demeanour and the nice goal. Hans and Alpha also just went along with chaotic fun energy, and Tide just seemed content to watch them all be so energetic about something so simple and pure, enjoying himself listening to them make plans.

They went to the toy shop on the main street, and Hans gave the heads up to show the owner about Xia, wanting her to be able to explore it in her more human form, not a puppy one, without freaking out humans. It was a stretch to bring something supernatural out like that, but with a smooth bribe from the Spirit, the shopowner closed his store to other visitors for a moment, and little fox shyly took on her humanlike child form, nervously doing so in such public place, but trusting Hans's judgement.

She was too distracted to be nervous for too long, though, as indeed, there were all kinds of countless toys there on display, and once they reached stuffed plushies, her eyes sparkled. She wagged her big fluffy tail, and this was the first time Senecio has seen her more humanoid child form, and she looked quite adorable in her excitement, pointing at various toys with her little paws, whistling excitedly.

Tide didn't have to translate for the actor to figure out she was pointing to him toward two toys that had foamy blue eyes, similar to Tide's, one toy being the large dark blue whale, another, the white octopus. Since they had eyes similar to Tide, and seemed really soft, it seemed to be Xia's recommendation for him.

[Mirach]

Senecio reached for the octopus and wrapped all of its arms around himself. "The decision is clear, this one is a good hugger," he said.

Tide felt touched by the choice, looking at Senecio with bright feelings, as if he were the most loveable man in the world. Hans himself seemed to feel more bright and energized, given a chance to purchase something nice for him, and naturally, Alpha was bemused and pleased with all of them having a good time.
But none was as excited and encouraged as little Xia, who clapped her little paws, feeling and whistling more freely and confidentlly. She took Tide by the sleeve, and she hopped playfully to another shekf while leading him, pointing to one toy excitedly, which made Tide laugh brightly. He picked it up gently and turned it to Senecio, with a timid hopeful expression. The toy he had was as large as Xia, and looked rather soft and fluffy to the touch - it was a sheep of shiny black coat similar to Senecio's hair, had actor's eye colour, and elegant silver bow around its neck.

" What do you think?" His boyfriend asked sheepishly, hugging his own unexpected pick with surprised attachment." Xia seems to indeed have a good eye for cuddliness..."

[Mirach]

"Lovely," Senecio smiled and wrapped one arm of the octopus around the toy sheep and another one around Tide.

Tide's heart fluttered, and it seemed he just could not contain the pleasure with Senecio's casual meaningful gesture, grinning ear to ear, and suddenly, carried by the delightful feeling, he leaned forth embracing both plushies and Senecio, raising him slightly from the ground as he did so.
" What a preposterously cute thing... a terribly lovable man, calling a terribly lovable toy lovely... " he sighed contentedly, and Senecio could hear a vulnerable purring sound of hungry needy affection leaned against him. " You are just way... way too cute. It is driving me insane... "

[Mirach]

Senecio couldn't resist snuggling in his arms as the demon purred. "So we both have a perfect toy," he said finally. "Now let’s help Xia to find some."

[VisAnastasis]

Tide sighed even more contentedly after the snuggling, as he seemed rather emotionally satisfied with a chance to indulge in some closeness when happy. He was still bright and overflowing with joy as he let go, and he held his picked toy in an embrace preciously, full of brightness, like someone that has just discovered their new favourite thing.

Xia looked a little proud of herself, grinning with his obvious joy, but when the time came for her, she seemed shyer, as, even if she accepted, she was unsure, because even if she decided she wanted a soft toy, she had little experience choosing for herself. As well, the sheer number of choices was overwhelming, so she walked around the shelves slowly, uncertainly glancing around.

[Mirach]

"Try closing your eyes and imagining what your soft friend should look like," Senecio advised her. "What color should it be? Do you imagine soft paws or wings? Long fluffy fur or short one?"

[VisAnastasis]

Xia closed her eyes, and tried to imagine something nice that she would want, struggling when it came to her.
" Something... Not connected to colours of Svarik and While," she whistled quietly in the end, and Tide translated for her." So nothing with the pretty violets, yellows, or blues... Nothing of the sad things," she said with certainty, before adding with lower voice." Something... Fluffy like a cloud. Something friend shaped. And wings big enough to crawl under. Wings are... Friend shaped..."

[Mirach]

"Okay, that's something we can start with," Senecio nodded. He browsed the shelves fir a while and then picked a big white snow owl. "How about this one?"

[VisAnastasis]

Little critter shyly reached out and caressed owl's body, gasping in surprise and delight as her little paw sank into the fluffy texture. There was still a light remaining sliver of anxiety, though, as she looked up and gazed into toy's eyes, to see its expression and colour - she was tentative, and almost a little fearful, fearing she may recognise in them someone she knows, not wanting to be reminded.

[Mirach]

"So what do you think?" Senecio asked, watching her.

[VisAnastasis]

The eyes of the snow owl were yellow, and while it did look a bit like the colour of Svarik's hair since it didn't remind her of any of the eyes of people she knew, the creature's anxiety finally melted away, and she slowly let go of inhibitions and extended her little paws, and took the toy from Senecio, embracing it. It looked insanely cute as she hugged it, as it was almost as tall as her, and the material was soft, so it seemed as if half of the little Demon sank into the feathers. Xia hid her face in the fluffiness, and unexpectedly, she sobbed, her feelings wavering with sadness, as she snuggled with the huge thing, with the same hungry neediness Tide would feel when getting something he was craving terribly.
"Y-yes... " his boyfriend translated for her with a light smile. " This... this one is very reliable... very friend shaped... "  

[Mirach]

"Excellent," Senecio smiled. "Let’s buy these three then."
