" Really? I knew they were kind of pricey, but I did not know it was that much.. " Erdel raised his eyebrows with interest, as he was shyly putting the little shell in the basket. " I don't think I'd make a really good seller, it's not really my thing, but it's good to know... "

[Mirach]

"You just need to go to a real jewelery shop, not a stall. They have fixed prices based on size, but they only buy the perfectly round ones," Senecio said, from own experience, it seemed.

[VisAnastasis]

" Maybe if I have some free time, it would be neat. I don't want to be slacking of, though. It's important for me to get this job right. " Creature said, as it carefully picked up the basket of shells so it wouldn't spill over." To be honest, I had quite bad experiences with selling things. I used to sell scraps of metal when I was younger, and old paper, and pretty much anything I could get my hand onto. Never got a fair prize, but it was a living... I guess I am not cut out for enterprise. But if I need monry urgently, it seems like a good idea... thanks for the imput. " He said little more shyly, but honestly.

[Mirach]

Senecio nodded. Feeling the need to elaborate a bit as well since Erdel told him that bit about himself, he said: "I... had to sell a pearl necklace once. It used to belong to my mother. So I made sure to find the best prices..."

[VisAnastasis]

Erdel's face fell with that, and he noded, and in his expression was a glittering trait of compassion.
" I understand... I am sure it is not easy. I never experienced it, though. I never had any memory of my parents to sell. " He whispered, and could not help but ask." You was not able to... buy it back, was you?" He brought himself to inquire." Do you know where are its whereabouts?"

[Mirach]

The actor shook his head, shaking off the memory. "Nah, don't get sentimental over it. It was sold to someone, and then to someone else... probably it got dismantled and made into other jewels by now..."

[VisAnastasis]

It was hard for Erdel not to get invested, though, and he bit his lip, and added hesitantly.
" It may not be proper, but if you could forgive me for asking... Did you perhaps... Hm.. Cry over the pearls before you sold them? " he bid quietly. " If you did, maybe I could trace them back through the smell of your tears. If she wore it often, normally I would have asked for some piece of her clothing that I could use to catch her smell, but if you don't have those, tears would work, too... "

[Mirach]

"Oh, come on... that was ten years ago. You may be able to smell a shell over layer of soil, but I doubt any smell woul linger that long. And anyways, what would you do if you found it? People don't usually buy pearls for themselves, so it probably became a present. Even if you had money, do you think someone would sell you a present from someone dear to them? If they did, then they really need the money and would be unhappy about it. Just forget it, alright?"

[VisAnastasis]

" I will forget about it... If you want me to. But if you change your mind, I will give it a try. I think you underestimate me. My sense of smell... I don't even know if I should call it that. Since I became demon, it got all entwined, with this perception of feelings and imprints throughout the fabric....  Sometimes, I feel I can even smell the stars... " vampire smiled sadly. " I will forget it, though, if you want me to... I am sorry you had to sell it. You was 24, then? " he bid compassionately, after the honest talk they had, seeming to feel little more open at efforts to get along with him anew. " You seemed to have gotten a long way from there... I am sure your mother would be proud...  "

[Mirach]

"I don't know, I don't really remember her," Senecio shrugged. "I guess a necklace wouldn't change that, so it doesn't matter..."

[VisAnastasis]

" I guess it wouldn't. I am sorry for mentioning it. I just hoped I may help you get at least that memento back. " vampire sighed. " But I can at least help now. " he said hesitantly. " I'll carry the basket, and you carry the lantern like so far, okay? " he bid. " Would you be willing to, um, hold my hand as we walk back? It's slippery, and I wouldn't want you tripping on some stone. It will be safer. "

[Mirach]

"Do I look that clumsy?" Senecio asked, and then chuckled. "Because I am... It's strange, in the city I can climb houses and all, but rocks or trees? No chance... I guess houses are more straight, and symmetrical in patterns..." He took the offered hand, using the lantern to light the path ahead.

[VisAnastasis]

Maybe after the talk, Erdel felt a little freer, and, where he previously avoided close contact, this time, he seemed to be little more responsive to him, and he held his hand and made sure he does not trip, for all the time till they reached safety of the palace.

[Mirach]

Senecio indeed slipped a few times, but didn't fall thanks to Erdel.

[VisAnastasis]

That seemed to make vampire pleased, as he felt useful and handy, preventing someone from getting hurt, even if it was an actor. He helped him out, and he made sure he holds his cloak tightly to stay warm, as they were climbing the stairs.
" If we're going to your room, we must be quiet, and don't spoil details out loud. " he said as they climbed. " The walls of rooms are thick for human, but not a demon. We don't want to spoil surprise to Tide if he happens to be listening. "

[Mirach]

"I think he will be listening, and will be worried by now, since we were supposed to go shopping, and the shops closed hours ago..." Senecio said. "I should go to him and tell him that we need to finish the present for the king - we still do anyways, even if it's just putting the decorations on the cupcake..."

[VisAnastasis]

" That is a good cover up. I can take the things and bring sweets to your room while you exchange words with Tide, and I will also need to take few minutes afterwards to tell Svarik all is fine and confirm if I am able to take time to do this. "

[Mirach]

"Alright," Senecio nodded. He returned the cloak to Erdel, and then knocked on Tide's door.

[VisAnastasis]

" Come on in." Tide replied right away, standing up - while he was writing diligently, he was anxious of prolonged time, and waited for him to return, worrying a little.

[Mirach]

Senecio entered shyly. "I'm sorry it took so long... We needed to clarify some things with Erdel..."

[VisAnastasis]

" Really? You were just.. talking? To this late hour?" Tide bit his lip, as he seemed more anxious than he would admit. " I was... so worried... It felt like forever..."

[Mirach]

"We had a bit of a misunderstanding..." Senecio admitted. "Or several... But we managed to talk it out, I hope."

[VisAnastasis]

" So.... just talking? Just talking...." Tide stuttered a little shyly as if trying to convince himself - and with his aparent but timid  anxiety, it suddenly became appartment  to Senecio that he may have feared there was something more. From demon's angle, staying up with someone outside past midnight, specilly someone he deemed pretty like Erdel, gave him worry, more waiting streched - Erdel seemed to have been right in that, that demon was anxious he may be a passing interest and actor may replace him with someone prettier.

[Mirach]

"Oh..." Senecio shook his head, as if dismissinng the absurdity "More like arguing, but just that, of course... But at one point, I was actually afraid that you might find him more interesting than me..."

[VisAnastasis]

" That's what I am saying. He is both interesting and pretty. He is gentle powerful demon, but can pass as normal human. He is whole package. " Creature whispered, nervously rubing its hands. " I did not want to doubt you... but I must admit, as midnight grew near, I just felt ... really bad. He is charming..  I feared you may like him... better... than me... and change your mind.   " Tide murmured with some shame, and it was indeed good actor came to him to talk, as he was, much like actor, fearing Erdel may have better charms at wooing him,  seconds passing like hours as he was seing stars arise and worry creapt into his heart.
