First they started of a little tense, but more time passed, more Erdel seemed to grow imersed into the act, seeming to find some enjoyment in sorting out things based on colors and shapes and what goes well together, inclined to find patterns and seek symethry and visually pleasing imagery.
Senecio enjoyed that as well, being good at it a natural part of his talent. "Do you want to add something?" he asked when the sweets were sorted in the shells.
" I think we did great job." Vampire approved." We just need to figure out where to put this one." He pointed at the black pearl." And what about leftover shells? Do you want me to crush them and crumble them to sprincle around sweets, or leave it for you for some other ocassion? "
Erdel was fair and didn't insist to do everything this time, like on the beach, instead leting Senecio pick best place for black pearl, while he was crushing shells between his palms, as you would crush walnuts, and from time to time sprinckling some on estetically pleasing way where he felt it was needed.
Mostly, though, he took a bowl and was putting crushed shells into it, until it was full, and then he innocently put the bowl before the actor, so he could sprincle its content around where he felt it was needed.
Senecio put the pearl and bowl aside for a while yet, fist arranging the treats into a nice pyramid. Then he sprinkled it with the crushed shells, and put the pearl on top. "What do you think?" he asked Erdel.
" I think it's lovely. Now we only have to do this ." Vampire suddenly grinned, as he pointed at the glitter that was left for them to sprincle, seeming to adore the bringht rainbow colors and look forward to that part, pleasant visual imagery being very stimulating for a young demon with such sensitive senses as himself.
"And then that..." Senecio pointed at the present for the king, since he promised Tide not to lie to him. He divided the glitter in two partz and gave one to Erdel.
" We can leave that for the end. " Erdel agreed, and he took his part of glitter with a bit of quiet soft excitement, giggling a little shyly as he was sprinckling it here and there, it seeming to be something he looked forward to do ever since Senecio bought the glitter in the shop, liking of it being something he shared with Tide as well.
Erdel saved a bit of his yellow, white and light blue glitter from his pile, for Svarik's neat little cake, but other than that, he was generous with his share of glitter, enjoying it throughly, and with enjoyment, seeming to relax a little bit more with Senecio, feeling they had a mutual enjoyment in it.
" It turned out quite big, so I doubt we have big enough box..And it's fragile..." vampire said slowly. " I don't want to spoil it by something falling poorly. Maybe we should just put some colorful cloth over it and bring him here? We could borrow something from the kitchen..."
Erdel let him carry it this time, and when they came to kitchen, he only used his authority as Tide's friend to bid them to borrow the cloth, but he was graceful about it, and allowed actor to pick one from many wonderful embroidred cloths in the room.
Senecio spotted one with a pattern of violets, and he immediately picked that one. Then he finished the present for the king. "I think it would be best if you give it to the king," he said to Erdel. "He might not want to see me again, I guess..."
" No. I would like you to bring it to him." Vampire said instead." It may be embarassing... But my king wants to stay friends with Tide as well. I wouldn't like that night to be his only memory of you. It would please me if you gave it to him yourself. I can go with you and support you. "
Senecio thought for a moment, not wanting to be selfish anymore, but feeling that Erdel's presence would turn it into a friendship gift. "Thank you, I think that would be most proper," he nodded. "But I will tell you how he reacted tomorrow."
" If you feel that way... " Erdel nodded quietly. " I wish you good luck." He but said kindly, dissapointed not to see Tide's reaction, but accepting it could be considered inapropriate. " I will expect you tomorrow, then, when you deliver gift for Svarik."
