"Yes... I guess it's better that way, like it's better to wait with opening the gate," Svarik nodded slowly. "Doesn't make me feel better about myself though..."

" Yeah, I feel pretty bitchy, for being angry and dissapointing in him. But hey, such is life - sometimes, people you care for are going to dissapoint you." Falcon shrugged." If you hide your opinion, though, they'll never knew they hurt you or better their behavior. There's time for everything, though. You've gotta own it, how you feel and act. Own how you feel. You don't feel like doing something? Then don't. You are not obligated. But even more so, you are not obligated to beat yourself down if you do what's right. Giving yourself and him both time to process your feelings is objectively best thing you can do for him. "

"I hope so..." Svarik murmured. "Let's get away from here then..."

" Let's go. It's about time we clear our heads a bit, somewhere nice. " Falcon said innocently, and after telling their rider to head toward walls, he reminded him mysteriously. " Remember, we packed up the big pot and shovels for a reason. I have a super chill assignment today, so to say.. that is, we're going to, let's give you a hint, make a nice little surprise for Melody... "

"That sounds nice..." Svarik said a bit tiredly, as he was still in a melancholic mood and the mention of Conrad's relationship reminded him on the troubles in his own one, despite looking forward to both helping Conrad with it and Melody's surprise.

" Ah, I wish... Honestly, it's a far stretch, but still, I'm having my hoped up. " Falcon leaned back more, taking his sword of his back, and pulling it out nonchalantly -not in danger, though. He seemed little absent, and was playing with the handle, as they were driving. " It's honestly frustrating. I think we're on different wavelengths. " he overshared casually, too casually for his usual self, before stranger like timid Zephir - maybe precisely so, because he knew well enough from king's mood, where his thought lay. " I'm really struggling right now, with heavy thoughts, and decisions for the future. I'm really more in a mood for a light, careful romance, for a start. I have enough doubts to deal without those on top. She's a Spirit, though.. She's a warm passionate flame, that is ever restless, and ever burns... She's ever hinting that she's ready for, let's say, more physical approach to things, so we're kind of dancing around each other both, doing our own thing. " Falcon sank back more, signing a little, before clenching hand in fist, and adding with more fire in his voice, determinedly. " But this time, I'm going to turn it up a notch. She won't be able to chuckle this one out. It's going to come with extra sweet bow and sparkles, everything she likes... "

"Okay, that sounds intriguing..." Svarik smiled weakly, but sincerely. "I'm womdering what you have thought of this time..."

" It is actually more of a derivative than my own original idea, this once. " Falcon replied mysteriously and sheepishly. " But I decided to be playful with it a bit. It's... not as megalomanic as my ideas usually are... I am a little anxious about it, to be honest. I feel it might come of as a little lazy, and I'm not accustomed to that, but I suck at romancing. " he admitted somewhat hesitantly, playing with his sword, as if he was dealing with nervousness that way. " I just thought it can be a nice gesture, and, hell, you only live once, so I might as well do something romantic once in a lifetime... plus, we're making world better place in the process and all, so it doesn't hurt. "

"And in your typical manner, the more you say, the more we are curious," Svarik smirked.

" Of course you are. That's the part of my elaborate evil plan to have you do chores for me by making them out to be something ultra special when it's mostly going to be some supernatural gardening. " Falcon snorted through his nose a little faintly in jest. " I'm just warning you not to raise your expectations up too much. Also, if you tease me for it, I'll chop your hand of, so no salty comments when I show you what we're gonna do, deal? "

"Okay then..." Svarik agreed with a little smile, but didn't speak for the rest of the way, withdrawing into his thoughts.

Falcon was quiet as well, and Zephir was timid being in limited space with other people who kept silent, and he kept to himself too, often glancing outside at the path. The road they traveled got a bit bumpy as they left the city wall, to the nature around it. Falcon seemed to have instructed the driver to take a vague route, so it won't be obvious where they're going, but somewhere as they neared their destination, Svarik realized they'd headed to the place where, not that long ago, they first released and befriended demon that resided in Bell, at secluded part of the river shore.

Svarik watched the surroundings absently, and only after a while he realized where they are going and looked out of the carriage window curiously.

At first, nothing seemed that different... But still, something felt a little of, as if some kind of disturbance in the world - but tilted to the good side. Air felt very fresh, although warm, and it was clear from any pain or grief usually stuck within the fabric, and actually, it was bubbling with something else - a quiet, trembling joy. However mysterious, king could see reason behind it once they got closer and closer to the place where Bell came undone - for, along that road, bright sunflowers were growing. And not just any sunflowers. First ones he saw were fairly small - but closer the carriage got, sunflowers gradually got bigger and bigger and bigger... Far outgrowing the common sized sunflowers... And also, the scent of joy in the air being more and more intent.

"What is happening here?" Svarik asked wonderingly.
|
Administrator
|
" Well.. it depends how you look at it." Falcon teased mysteriously as they were watching the sights, seeming particularly pleased with sight of Zephir, that was leaning outside the window and grinning sheepishly, gleaming like a child at wondrous sight." In one way, you could say it's something me and Simbel had discussed and experimented with recently... Though, by the sight of it, you wouldn't be wrong if you thought we were trying to breed the Ultimate Svarik, Svarik 3.0, am I right?" He grinned faintly." I totally told you - I must perserve the speecies, and if humans and soulish parts are petulant, flowers, on the other hand, are super easy to groom. It's not really of you, but by it's be benevolence, it might as well be - it's a very delicate, but bright flower..."
|

|
"Are they magical or something?" Svarik asked, a bit puzzled by the purpose of the flowers still - it would be enough to him that they are pretty and bright to him, but he suspected that Conrad had to have some more reasons to grow them.

" It's almost magical, but not quite the word I'd use. Let me explain. It was stressful time, and I'm forgiving to the fact you probably forgot... But in his final moments at the shore, as my reports show, which you've been present for - demonic side of Benjamin Benet we knew had gifted us with couple of very nice speciments, not only Xia, mind you. " Falcon said a little smugly, as carriage finally stopped, and he gave them a sign to go out - to face a biggest Sunflower - around four meters high, with gleaming, beautiful crown, bright like a sun. " Besides Xia and two little demon birds, he made two more creatures... He made a white kitten for Ciel... And he made a big Sunflower for Melody. So, we can say, white kitty is demonic but super sweet and safe with Ciel, me and White had, huh, a little breakthrough, focusing on figuring out nature of the sunflower... "
(ooc: this is the page with post from 2016, where kitten and Sunflower were made, they're only briefly mentioned once or twice later, if I can remember right, but it was a while ago already and I just remembered it recently too :) http://cherrizon.1073176.n5.nabble.com/Svarik-and-Liron-IX-td37308i300.html ) |

"And this breakthrough allowed you to breed it, I suppose?" Svarik murmured, looking around.
(OOC: I totally forgot about that...) |

" I wouldn't call it *breeding*. It's actually more like cloning. It's super interesting. White had figured it all out, his experience hunting all kind of demons really came in super handy in identifying nature of this one. " Falcon said, as he waited for Zephir and Svarik to go out and they neared the plant. " It turns out, it seemed every demon Riversong made at that time is different, spur of a moment kind of demon, based on how he felt art a time. This one's a kind of plant demon that has sunflower form and draws happiness from being in the sun, but is lonely living on its own and anxious when alone for too long - so it loves to multiply fast, and connect with his sunflower children. It doesn't need a mate, you just need to pluck out its seeds gently and plant them, and it'll grow new copies of itself endlessly as long as there's seeds left... It has sort of a swarm mind that inhabits all sunflowers, but specifically, the strongest first sunflower, as its vessel - but if it's destroyed, it then passes into form into second largest and healthiest sunflower. Basically, as long as there's sunflowers left, it's tricky to destroy, as if keeps jumping between vessels. It's a swarm clone type of demon, weak, but very elastic in nature and hard to kill. Simbel had finally made a choice last night, and we're going to pick couple biggest healthiest babies today, my dudes, and we're going to pack them up neatly and plant them back home, for my sweet Melody, for whom Bell made it. Me and Simbel agreed they'd be placed inside his little part of the garden, where they can grow most safely and he can keep an eye on them. "
( OOC: I only remembered it by accident, when I was thinking through Xia's progress and current character development, otherwise, I'd have totally forgotten about it, too... There's so much happening, so it's natural we'd forget some things, it was 2 years ago, time flies ;) |

Svarik nodded with understanding. "I guess it wasn't that easy for Simbel, to accept a demonic plant growing next to his flowers... Won't his essence and water seeping into the soil dangerous for it, though?"
|
Administrator
|
" It's going to be behind his little house, and he's going to lead its growth, so sunflower Being should be fine, as long as Simbel wants him to be fine. Remember, while waters themselves burn demons, White's essence in air is still soothing to be around, so as long as it keeps enough distance, it'll be safe. It was hard for Simbel at first, but I think it's an experiment for him - that he wants to explore and see how it feels to grow and raise a demon that can't harm him. " Falcon murmured bit more quietly, and he patted the stem of the plant attentively. " It'll be big step for him, and it seems that, even if he might gain form in five to ten thousand years, which is plenty of time for White to grow, it's not going to be some overwhelming scary form. He assured me demons like those usually manifest charming little gnome-like forms, or forms of golden haired ponies or whatnot. Simbel thought of it a lot, if we'll keep this one or kill it if it can become too dangerous as it spreads its seeds with its near unkillability, but he decided resolutely against violence. I think that... he does lot of things in accordance to how he thinks Erdel would think of him, and doesn't want to disappoint him, but there's more to this. He's discovering things for himself. He's trying to choose his own path... We're yet to see how this one goes, but I think pros of keeping him are bigger than trying to wipe him out. As it stands, Simbel is warmly cautious, but Melody just adores tis silly guy. Taking it to our garden is best we can do for him - with happy plants in it, he'll never feel lonely, and nobody ill can pick him up to sell him or brake him out of malice. "

"I still don't understand why you want to replant a whole plant, risking to harm its roots with that, when you could just plant the seeds in the garden," Svarik said.

" You silly- because this is original. " Falcon grinned. " He - or she, whatever it might be in couple thousand years - is going to be my super awesome Svarik 3.0, you know. My ultimate little sidekick. Who would I be, if I left it here, to the harsh elements? " Falcon teased with little smile, but a bit of his was serious too, as he added to explain. " I happen to be very fond of this flower - person... I have big plans with it, if luck has it. But first of all, it needs safe environment. Simbel observed it for a while, and if anyone can judge a plant, I'd put my bet on another plant, and he said its perception of the world mostly resides within this one original vessel - and it feels unsafe and fearful, when rain falls or harsh wind blows here in the open. That's why I'll take the original vessel, plus few more spare vessels, so it can be safe in the garden and able to easily pass into another vessel if first is damaged, while we continue to tend to it. " man hesitated a little, and he actually seemed kind of blushing, before he admitted. " Plus, I, um... Erdel kind of began teaching me... to read from that Demon Raising book you brought from that forest demon. It's such a pain of a scrypt, and I'm awful at it, but thankfully, Mole's gotten a hand of it quite well... He deciphers it for me in free time. Apparently, according to it, little plant demons need to feel safe above all, in order to grow well, without ending up twisted from miasma or trauma. You could say that this is an experiment of my own, too, of raising demon children properly... that is... Me and Melody decided to adopt this one... "

"Oh, I see..." Svarik murmured thoughtfully. "That's nice. But shouldn't she be here then?"
