Death nodded, but didn't comment on that part. "So how should I interact with the soul, not having any of those abilities?" he asked.

" You have your own abilities, though, and I picked a soul compatible to them." Tide explained pleasantly as he walked back to him, kneeling besides the sofa." You can still hold and touch souls, like you did at Cernunnos's fort, your ability is more direct than mine, and this specific soul enjoys being held closely and caressed, if you do it in a way it enjoys. I can teach you how. But first, you should hold the bottle alone for a while, and let it get used to you, since you are new. In absense of bodies, the bottle acts as a replacement for it, and touching it feels somewhat like touching skin for them, so you ought to first handle the bottle well..." He spoke lovingly, while gently turning the object in his hand, the soul within it trembling lightly, but it seemed to be from anticipation, not fear. " So that it sees you are trustworthy.... "

"Can I touch you?" Death asked the soul before taking the bottle.
(OOC: so sorry dear, I find it so hard to find motivation to play Death lately. Could we maybe summarise this part and get to Svarik?) |

The soul was sensitive and unsure at first, but, while never meeting Death before, his essence was calming, and Tide was close by, which made it more confident, so it relaxed slowly. After a while, it was trustful enough for Tide to decide to let it out for a bit, holding the shy soul lightly in the air and letting Death pet it. He was patient and attentive and enjoyed showing Death how soul enjoyed to be touched, teaching him how to open and close the soul's protective bottle while doing so, so, in case of emergency, he knows how to comfortably get souls back to their safe little homes.
( OOC: Of course, don't worry, I often used to feel like that when playing Riversong, it can get rather taxing to play a depressed character, because it's realistic that they are withdrawn and gloomy, but not as fun and easy to stay motivated, and while I like Death as character, I understand it, you should have said so sooner, I just thought you must be busy these days <3 I summed up the interaction with the soul, we can either leave the two of them to tend to it for, perhaps, untill the end of the day or so, as they both like it, or say at some point, when soul was content with the treatment, Death asked to be parted after a while, I assume either staying in this room or going back to the room he was given the day before, but you can write the different summing up if you feel Death would end the meeting differently <3 ) |

Death tended to the soul for some time and after it was content, he also felt tired and asked to return to his room with the little house inside.
(OOC: I don't mind playing him parallel to a different character but it gets tedious when it's just him) |

After he made sure all souls are ready for them to part, Tide helped Death get to the room with little house, that last time they made and furnished. He didn't ask any more needless questions - he but quietly made sure Death gas enough cookies to last for a while, that he is warm and safe, and that he has his hair to call him in case of emergency. Although reluctant to leave him alone without any other supervisor, Death seemed a little better and more stable physically, so in the end, he did agree to leave him, with the promise that he would be called if there are any changes.
--- Svarik in meantime woke up, around noon, stumbling out of the bed dizzily. As he was coming to his senses, he noticed two people were in the room - Conrad and Eros. Apparently they kept a watch over him during the night, and right now they seemed immersed into some kind of tarot reading, at least judging by the quiet unassuming dialogue between the two and Eros's playful exchange of various cards. |

He pressed his temples against the headache, trying to put together what happened. Last thing he remembered was trying to heal... he sat up swiftly. "Did he survive?" he asked.

That response drew the attention of others to him. Falcon, who didn't feel particularly too strongly about Senecio, couldn't help but snort a little at first reaction of Svarik being worry for someone that once tried to kill him the first second he wakes up.
" Well, it's not like he is my favourite human, but if he died, don't you think I would be wearing black today for Tide's sake? Oh, wait, you are right, I am always wearing black, so, yeah, things could have went either way... " Eros, who could feel Svarik's urgency, sighed a little at Falcon's teasing, and turned his head lightly to meadow king. " Do not fret. He is alive, of course, " he replied straightforwardly, although a touch distantly, as if checking if his current level of familiarity is well measured" If he died, I would have known, little one... " |

Svarik sighed with relief and sank back on the bed. "I was afraid my magic won't be enough... I didn't expect using it that day anymore and spent most of it..."

" One doesn't have to be a great scientist to figure out as much, " Falcon, though he still jested, had a touch sharper note in his expression as he shrugged. " From repeated experiments in my respected field of Svarikologia, I figured you have to be nearly dying and worry me to death at least once every couple of weeks, to keep me sharp and on the edge. That's apparently an important part of our symbiosis... "
" Your friend is... intense, yes, but he is right to worry, " Eros replied, tilting head at the lying man more thoughtfully, but his expression looked more elusive. " You gave so much. What you did could have killed you. Without some nutrients, probably would. You ought to take good care of yourself. " his expression looked somewhat sad with the request. " You... are deeply loved in this world, by the humans, Beings, the land... It would be a pity to turn that love to grief so soon... " |
Administrator
"It was calculated risk," Svarik murmured, feeling a bit guilty for worrying Conrad. "Death was right there, so I counted that if I die, he'll catch me. Again."
Administrator
" Um, Svarik, just a thought, you might be sleepy, so perhaps not thinking too hard about it, but are you quite sure you want to disclose personal soul information like that?" Despite not really placated, Falcon's priority always seemed to first protect Svarik's privacy. But Eros seemed not much surprised.
" Oh, do not fret, I would not inquire about it, however curious his case may be. I already could see clearly enough that half of your friend is younger than the rest, it's just not polite to ask, so I would not," Being touched on the subject gently, shaking his head lightly. " However, please, for your family's sake... do not treat your... Ally as a trump card like that, please. It is true humans souls can be caught by some people, and pushed back, but it is bad for mortals to be outside their bodies for too long. You can risk forgetting even your very self. Senecio almost did.... " |

"Well, good that I managed to heal him a bit then, isn’t it?" Svarik said and pulled the blanket up to his chest, as if feeling cold.
Administrator
" What did it cost, though? Do I dare to ask?" Falcon crossed his arms quietly - indeed, while he was a bit distant, it was obvious his cautious attitude came out of worry. Eros clearly felt that Falcon's worry too, as his own.
" If you are not uncomfortable with me..." Being then offered quietly, crossing his fingers hopefully." I would like to check on your health, now that you are awake, to reassure you. I know it was scary risk to take, still, regardless of your choice to take it... We all take risks for things important to us. That is okay. You just have to make sure you are okay, though, because you are important, too. " |
Administrator
Svarik listened to the tone if his voice carefully, assessing Eros in his own way. Finally he nodded. "I just feel very hungry and cold," he murmured. "Healing a corpse with magic isn’t an experience I'd want to repeat..."
Administrator
Being nodded lightly. It was hard to figure out his manner of thinking, with his unique aura, but gestures of his hands and a note of his gaze seemed a mix of regret and tinge of fear.
" I see," he whispered shyly." It was really hard for Hans, and it took big toll on Tide too. It certainly was heavy experience. It is normal to be upset. Is... your stomach upset too?" He asked delicately, as if trying to find out more without being troublesome." You should take in more nutrients, but if you feel too sick to eat, I could take out some sugary nutrients and make you energetic beverage..." " You wouldn't use the needles again, right?" Falcon asked a touch darkly, and in response to his emotions, Being seemed to flinch a little. " Of course not. He was unconscious last night, so we had to," Being replied apologetically, in same tine, speaking in clear sentences, as he knew Svarik only know learned of it." Of course we wouldn't have to push nutrients into his veins now that he is awake. We can just make him a nice hot drink... " |
Administrator
"A hot drink sounds good for a start," Svarik said, accepting the piece of information about the needles in stride. "It wasn’t just upsetting, I mean that it felt different than healing a living patient. There was more resistance. And it felt so cold..." he shivered again.

Eros's eyes were compassionate, having been there to feel how it felt for him.
" It was the same for Tide, too. No matter how long you live, it's natural to be disturbed, " he whispered. " He felt so horrified, breathing into a dead body... It can shake a person terribly. It's okay to be disturbed. You should say it aloud. Just because you healed many before, doesn't mean you should convince yourself you are fine with it. " encouraged by Svarik's admittance, Being seemed encouraged enough to smile at him, with an expression softer, that felt to the king a little like Melody's. " There's no gain in tiring you with moral demands now that you are still shaken. Let's take care of the care than first, what do you say? Your friend could warm a blanket for you by the fire, to warm you up, and I can go downstairs to make you a potion, and give you two some privacy away from me. How does that sound, little one? " |
Administrator
"Sounds good," Svarik murmured and closed his eyes until Eros left.
Administrator
Being only dared stood up then, as if something was keeping him chained up until Svarik closed his eyes. He didn't waste any time, on any more words, or thoughts, focusing on the task at hand, and he gracefully stood up and closed the door behind him - at which point Conrad took a deep breath, and stood up too, but not to leave, but walk from the table to the bed where Svarik lay.
Administrator
"I'm not disturbed by a dead body," Svarik said quietly when he was sure they're alone. "I've seen plently of those. It just reminded me on holding Izmir in the crypt, that's all. And it made me feel so cold, pouring magic into it. It was cold there, too. I'll be fine, just need to let it fade a bit."
Administrator
Falcon watched him quietly for a second or two, and then, he slowly sat down on an edge of the bed.
" Yeah... From where I stand it sounds to me like you are pretty disturbed. I don't need fancy Being powers to know that. You just happen to be disturbed by this specific dead body because you treated it closely enough, not just any," Falcon replied quietly, but firmly, not giving Svarik space to argue. He didn't reach for the blanket yet, instead he continued." Hey... I happen not to be cold. I am quite warm from my blood boiling from worry. What is ... That adorable way Tide puts it? Oh, yes ..." Man smiled only hesitantly, shadows weighting upon his face - but his request was still sincere." Do you... Perhaps... require a hug?" |
Administrator
Svarik smiled faintly. "Yes please," he said.
Administrator
Falcon complied readily, and he raised Svarik up, supporting his weight, and enveloping him in an embrace unexpectedly firmly. It wasn't a meek hug, it was tight and warm, and desperate - despite it felt protective and safe to be in it, Conrad's hands were shaking lightly, and man's breath was more shallow, and Svarik could feel he needed it as much as the king, for his anxiety to be calmed.
Administrator
"I'm sorry..." Svarik breathed out, resting his head on Conrad's shoulder.
